This is by far the best Singaporean food I’ve had. Ever. The flavours are out of this world! They are very reasonably priced and portions are substantial. This was our second visit, after discovering this place almost 2 years ago by chance. We remember being absolutely blown away by the flavours and freshness of the food the first time and it didn’t disappoint this time around. Talk about consistency, they delivered the same marvel of aromas and decadence with every dish. Even if you don’t live in burnaby, this place is absolutely worth a drive!
4.5 overall. It was a very awesome place to eat and reasonable pricing. You start by ordering up front and then take a seat of your choosing. They then call your number at the side as you pick up your meal. There is a good amount of seating but it can get quite busy here too.nnFood - amazing tastes and variety to choose from. Authentic flavours without it being too overly salty nor overly oily but still oily to an extent as some dishes are. They do also speak Cantonese and English here from what was overheard. It reminds me of a fast food spot for Asian comfort meals. The chicken rice was good with the strong yellow look to the grains. Meals are about $17 on average and in large portion with a side of veggies.nnAtmosphere - reminds me of a food court style with an open kitchen where everyone works efficiently and quick. A very enjoyable experience here for comfort food with good flavour.
Very busy place to be. Canteen style with Super Yummy Maylasian and Singapore style food! Simple menu with just the best ones you need! They even made non spicy off menu food for kids!nnJust the waiting area is very crowded and the washroom has boxes stocked up in it. Not a bigges for Asian restaurants. It’s worth the wait.
Food was more like a Malaysian restaurant than a Singapore hawker center. They need more variety for that! Beef curry and laksa was ok. Peanut sauce was bland and skewers were not meaty enough. I would come back to try other dishes though…
Not the most fancy and posh of restaurants, with no waiters, but the service is pleasant and friendly, and the food is fantastic! The hainanese chicken is more tender and flavourful than some more well-known restaurants specializing in this chicken dish. I am told they have one chef dedicated to just making the chicken and he has lots of time - no wonder it is so good! The laksa is so creamy and rich, the curry veggies and Sambal beans are crunchy and fresh, with plenty of flavour. I will definitely recommend this place.
