Very happy with the service of this facility. The Dr’s are pleasant and professional. Did not wait long. The ladies on the front desk were nice but one of them does not smile. Does not seem happy. We live in Midland and it is quite far during a snow storm to drive . I do wish I could get my results over the phone would make it a lot easier for everyone. I understand there are some issues with that. Thanks for your service.
Usually pretty good. This time I went in for a biopsy. Receptionist on left didn't care to answer my questions and gave me the eye roll! The nurse was phenomenal!! And she answered my questions. I was to to get a call with results on a Wed, but I get an email today Friday at 12:02pm saying its at 1pm. I didn't see email until 1 pm so I confirmed my phone call appt. It's now 4:10 and nothing. 5 stars to the nurse, but that receptionist makes me not want to come back
I had to see Dr. Alam and really like her work.ethic. She tells you what to expect, yells you when she wants details and it's all very efficient. Cuts down on my tendency to over-explain! Had a biopsy next day with Alexandra who made me very comfortable, was quick and easy, almost painless but she told me what to expect and I appreciated that very much. Good experience given my circumstances
I arrived a half hour early for my 7:30 a.m. appointment and was taken in almost immediately. Dr. Alam was very professional and communicative and answered my questions as did the nurse who later performed a biopsy. The receptionist was most helpful and not flustered at all when I had to amend my telephone contact numbers. Overall a very pleasant experience.
First time ever having a biopsy done. I was a little anxious going in- but everyone there is so kind and the nurse made me feel comfortable. I didn’t even know it was happening and then before I knew it, she was done! What a great first experience!
Dr. Mahmoodi was pleasant. She decided I should have a biopsy done on 2 moles. I came to the Office a week later and was greeted by a pleasant Nurse Assistant. The procedure was done quickly and with little pain. She described what she would be doing and then advised me of the scalp care to be done at home and that the results would be a couple of weeks. I am very impressed with SimcoDerm. I found Dr. Alam and Biopsy Nurse Alexandra supremely efficient, proficient and professional. And friendly and reassuring I have had skin examinations performed annually as I age. But this team has been the most diligent, and I admire their efforts to make sure I live unaffected by skin cancer during my lifetime. Highly recommended.
I was in today for a biopsy on two spots that will need to be surgically removed. I was told that results will not be available for 2 - 3 weeks, I guess due to Christmas. As I am going to be away for all of January I asked if I could get the results by phone. They said know as OHIP will no longer pay them for phone appointments. I told them I would pay for the call but they still refused. As a result I will not be able to get the results until February upon my return. This will push the surgery out until who knows when. I went though the same thing a year ago with SimcoDerm where their delays in getting the results and scheduling surgery resulted in me undergoing a serious 8 hour surgery in a hospital for something that could have been handled with routine surgery in the clinic had it been handled more quickly and efficiently. I now have an extensive scar on my forehead as a result. I feel the same thing is going to happen again this year which is totally unnecessary if they were more flexible and actually cared about their patients well being. I wonder how many others are going through similar things. Our medical system really needs a major make over.
The wait time at SimcoDerm was reasonable. The young woman who dealt with my biopsy was personable and efficient. Very impressive treatment and instructions for home care. For this procedure, we were in and out of the gate at Quarry Ridge in 1 hour and 1 second. The parking cost $8.25. That was very unfair for a senior - or anybody.
The Dr and nurse that did the biopsy were lovely! They were both very friendly and made me feel comfortable. The desk staff seemed annoyed that people were there checking in. A friendly smile wouldn’t hurt.
