I waited over 2 hours and she still didn't do what I came there for. I walked out and told them that this was ridiculous.

Dr Atilano is very easy to talk to and takes your concerns and thoughts seriously. She never seems rushed (even when a baby takes her away from her "scheduled appointments") and will answer your questions in a way that is understandable. She readily admits her comfort level, which is a big plus for me, as it takes humility to truly be great. I was one of the 'unpredicted' tough surgerys where none of the pre-op testing showed why I was having such severe abdominal pains. All the ER Drs and my primary care doctor thought it was from a cyst on my ovary that did show up on their exams. Dr Atilana was sure that the cyst was benign yet when she learned I had also been exposed to the Amphibole asbestos which is linked to ovarian cancer she said she would go ahead and remove it. This came at the advice of the Center for Asbestos Related Diseases. As I expected it was not to be a routine removal. In fact she was unable to remove all of my ovary for risk of threatening my life due to complications. Her humility was a blessing and she closed me back up in favor of sending me to a highly trained gastroenterologist. I spent four days in recovery, but Im here to tell about it and to get to the specialist that none of the others thought necessary! And a plus if you need more than that, she has a great personality too!
