Sidney Driver Svc

Much like every ICBC Driver Service location it is poorly managed, run by rude staff, and lacks organization. But as far as these offices go, this is unfortunately one of the better ones.

I went to renew my driver license, the lady who helped me wasn't nice. I thought oh well everybody has a bad day! When I have received my driver license, I thought she was just not a very nice person. The picture is awful, I know it's just a picture on my driver license but it would have been nice from her to say let's take another one instead of saying good picture. Just make me feel she was laughing internally!

I've been struggling to get my Alberta license switched over to B.C. for 6 months due to having a class one license! I went TWICE to ICBC in Surrey only to run into a bunch of rude and useless individuals. 30 minutes at this place and it was a done deal! And it only took that long due to a new government program for class one drivers. The staff there were very helpful and super friendly. Even apologetic that it took as long as it did. I will 100% be doing all my business here. Top notch!!!!

Staff were nice and friendly, but had limited experience dealing with foreign drivers licence conversion to BC licence. Went twice and got rejected both times by 3 staffs insisting my document was not signed properly by a translator - which I confirmed with the office who translated my documents the section they were talking about was supposed to remain blank before my second visit to Sidney Driver Service. Anyway, went to another ICBC Driver Licensing downtown Victoriawharf on the same day, they did not have any trouble processing my licence conversion or any confusion with the exact same documents I provided. Sidney Driver Service may not be the most helpful place if you want to convert foreign license.

I was very impressed with Keri and the service she provided at this office. I walked in and she immediately rose from her desk with an offer of help. I expected some difficulty as I was moving back from the US and needed a BC licence again. Keri took control of everything, worked on her computer, took my photo, and gave me a temporary licence all in 15 minutes and at a cost of $17. She also offered to check how much I am paying for ICBC if I come back and see her. Keri was super friendly and helpful. I strongly recommend this office, if you need assistance with a driver's licence or insurance. Ask for Keri. Update: I went back two days later and Keri was busy with another customer. My issues were taken care of by Jessica who was also excellent. Jessica took care of a complicated issue necessitated by the errors of the ICBC agent at the dealer. I can highly recommend both of these very helpful and professional people.

I would recommend this location to anybody. I went to the McKenzie ave location and was told the wait was going to be 1-2 hours. I then went to this location and there was no wait at all. Additionally, the staff were friendly and helpful!

The most amazing place to go for insurance. I would recommend this office to anybody in the area! Jess is the friendliest person I’ve ever dealt with in insurance. Every employee there is extremely helpful and always bubbly and polite.

Offering driving lisence renewal. You walk in and staff approaches you at the counter ready to serve you. Service with smiles & job dedications Very convenient location and you get prompt service because customer loading is not as heavy compared to the Mckenzie location.

If I could, I'd give no stars. Staff are complacent, smug, rude, and dismissive. I had a terrible experience here. I will make the drive to victoria in future.
