Visiting this Sikh temple in Downtown Toronto was a truly enlightening and peaceful experience.nSikhism teaches the profound and universal message of “Ik Onkar”—there is One God. This principle emphasizes the unity of all creation and encourages a life of equality, humility, and selfless service. It inspires individuals to see beyond divisions of caste, creed, or religion, focusing instead on compassion, truth, and the shared humanity that binds us all. A truly uplifting philosophy that offers guidance for a harmonious life.
I had a very unpleasant experience at the Gurudwara Sahib today. A baba pathi was behaving rudely and targeting girls, including me…. My hair wasn’t even open, it was tied in a ponytail …he still loudly questioned me in front of everyone, which was embarrassing and unnecessary….. Many people come here for peace during difficult times, but his behaviour can easily make someone’s day worse.. If he had concerns, he could have spoken politely instead of being loud and disrespectful This behaviour shouldn’t be ignored, and the community should address it. No one should be made to feel judged at Guru Ghar…..
My go to place whenever I'm in downtown. One of the oldest Gurudwaras, situated in a beautiful neighborhood with decent parking spaces around.
This one of the oldest Sikh Temple Gurdwara Sahib in Ontario. It was established in 1970's in a residential area, The building used to be a stable as well for horses. Its a very peaceful place for prayers. Every Sunday the committee serve Langar Free kitchen - Free Food for all If you are in the area do visit this place for peace and prayers.
