Showshaa - The Modern Taproom

This spot is one of a kind. Very pleasant vibe. I appreciate that on the various occasions I've been there and sat in different sections - it felt like a different experience. My favorite spot is the patio in the late afternoon or evening, once they light the fire. The servers are delightful and the food is amazing. A unique fusion of Indian and continental flavours. Highly recommend their desserts too.

This place is one of its kind, really well curated menu and portion size is great. We're new to the neighborhood, it was our first time here and we absolutely loved the vibe of this place. Super-friendly staff, say hi to Sean - the bartender whenever you visit next, he makes this amazing panipuri margaritas, it's their signature cocktail for a reason, must try!

We usually skip the dishes for Showshaa, but we decided today to stop in for a late lunch. First, let's start with the service, FIVE STARS for service! Our server Gurleen was so full of smiles with a great happy vibe and attentive in every way; she really made for a great experience. Secondly, the establishment itself. The ambiance was a Pub Tap House feel which they were going for so you nail it for sure, I didn't use the bathroom, but the rest of the establishment was spotless. FIVE STARS for Decor! Now lastly, the food, we eat a lot of Indian, it's probably a majority of our recreational food choices. This, for me, fell a tad short. The food was fresh and quick, chicken wings the size of my fist, which was impressive. However, the flavours just weren't there, close but not quite hitting the mark; unfortunately, I have to give three stars for the taste. All around, four stars. Thank you Gurleen, because of your outstanding service we will be back.

Ambiance and food is great. We love trying different things on their menu and you can’t go wrong with ordering traditional Indian food or going for a fusion option. 10/10 recommend the mango shake as well.

Came here for dinner and ordered two of their curries. Flavour was okay, Highway dhaba chicken was a bit salty. They came as a meal set so the portions made sense but other wise I could see why some may consider it on the smaller end. I did enjoy the two sides that came with the main dishes. Service is good.

Amazing food we got to try on our visit to Vancouver. Our friendly host, Anand, gave exceptional service. He was kind, polite and professional with his service. He made sure we were well taken care of. The ambiance was good and we were greeted with smiles and laughter.

Nice spot! Pleasantly surprised with the food. I wanted to sit on the patio however, it was reserved for a different party. The patio looks like it would be a nice placed to sit in the summer. We walked in without a reservation and we were immediately seated in a big red booth! We started off with appetizers and also ordered a few main dishes. 1. Gol gappe shots- the presentation was so cute! I actually liked these. I’m not a big gol gappe person. I don’t hate them but I don’t particularly like them. But these were good. The water that they were served with was on the sweeter side vs spicy. 2. Chili chicken tikka- this was really good. It wasn’t very spicy and the chicken was extremely soft and tender. 3. Butter chicken- this was probably one of the best butter chicken dishes I’ve had in North America. The butter chicken dishes I’ve had tend to be overly sweet which I don’t enjoy. This was the perfect balance between sweet and tangy. I could definitely order this again. 4. Malai Kofta- this was ok. The gravy was a bit sweeter than what im used to. The kofta itself was really good, it was nice and soft. 5. Tandoori roti- nothing special, very typical roti. 6. Garlic naan- again nothing special in my opinion. I thought the naan was actually a bit thinner instead of being a bit more “fluffy.” 7. Kids meal- we ordered the cheese pizza which came with fries. Nothing special. Other choices included chicken nuggets or grilled cheese. We didn’t order any dessert because nothing really stood out to me. Overall the food was pretty good and the service was really great. I would definitely recommend this place if you’re in the mood for good north Indian food.

Good food and taste. Me and my friends don’t drink so can’t really comment on their hard drinks menu but we got dinner and all our dishes were well prepared and presentation was top notch. I tried their vegetarian wings and was surprised how yummy and unique they were. Will be going back for sure.

Showshaa has been in my list since we moved to South Surrey but got a Chance to try yesterday. WOWWW, Food was served Super Quick. Every Dish has it's own Uniqueness. Tasty, Well Presented, Not more Not Less Portions. Gol gAppa is a must try. Id say you can confidently order any Dish and wouldn't go wrong. Patio Dine in was a great Experience. Surely Recommend Parking: Parking To your left When you enter the Plaza go all the way to the End, right next to the Liquor store

Love the food here! Krisshna' Prawn Curry is so delicious. The Dynamite Cauliflower is to die for! Neha our server was so helpful in explaining the food. She was so sweet and pleasant! We'll definitely be back for more!
