Shoshone-Bannock Hotel and Event Center

This was the first time I've been here and I will say I was impressed by the vibe. We saw Carlos Mencia perform and had a lot of fun. The service was great and I would recommend this place to anyone thinking of going to a show here. I only gave it 4 stars because the chairs were kind of uncomfortable. I know it seems like a small thing but with how nice the rest of the event center is the chairs seemed like they should have been better. They were nice enough for most places but they just didn't fit with the quality of the rest of the place. I will definitely be back and will recommend this place to anyone who asks about it.

The hotel part was great. Food selection is poor. Concert venue was not the greatest. When I bought tickets online, it appeared as though I was in the second row. What they don't disclose is there is an entire section in front that you can't see on the website. Seat should have been staggered. At least the person sitting in front of me had nice hair.

Gorgeous convention center with fun concerts. The hotel is just as gorgeous and the individual rooms are tasteful, clean and nice to stay in. They recently started serving alcohol on this reservation at the convention center. The restaurant has typical faire but the food is good and plentiful. The spa is really beautiful several menu choices from facials to massages. Very clean and professional environment.

So, 4 stars because this year the mimosas were not included in the price. Otherwise the holiday buffets they offer are wonderful. Everything from breakfast items...eggs Benedict too crepes for dessert. Prime rib, salmon, salad makings, too much to list. $30 for all you can eat.

Could use more food and drink choices. Maybe put the construction junk pile out back instead of being an eye sore. Very clean and the staff were very nice and professional. Great for large events.
