Shorty’s Pizza

Easily some of the best pizza in Winnipeg. I tried the square pie recently for the first time and it’s fantastic - the leftovers reheated beautifully too! The white pizza is one of my favourites. I have yet to meet anyone who has had Shorty’s and not loved it! It immediately became a favourite among my friend group, this is now what we dream about whenever someone suggests getting pizza. It tastes just as satisfying as any popular chain well, even better, but feels so much more like real, satiating food - it doesn’t leave you with that empty feeling an hour after eating it like some kinds of take out do. I haven’t had a chance yet to try any pasta or sandwiches because I’m just so in love with the pizza, but I certainly plan to some day. The pizza crust is just so so good. The dough is fantastic. And the sesame seeds on the crust are delightful. Love this pizza, can’t wait to order again soon!

I’ve been loving their pizza as takeout so we decided to walk down to dine in and try the hot beef Italian sandwich with jus dip Chicago classic and we LOVED it. It’s huge, so come hungry. The kale Caesar salads are delicious and the hickory sticks on it were fun. The staff is so friendly and service is very fast. Can’t wait to go back to try the meatballs!

Every city has its great pizza places. Add Shorty's to one of the best in Winnipeg. Had the Margherita as that's usually my go to and a slice of pepperoni. The sesame crust, did it for me. Something so simple gave this slice an extra texture and depth. The star however here is the $5.50/slice price point!

Really enjoyed our pepperoni and margarita pizza slices. New York style pizzas that you can fold. They sprinkle sesame seeds on the crust which adds a bit of nuttiness. Their Shorty pilsner and lagers were really yummy and my son demolished their banana pudding. Great service, we sat at the bar but it was very cozy and the service was attentive. I usually hit up Wall Street slice but this place is great too.

Amazing pizza. Great ingredients. I especially enjoyed the fresh cheeses both mozzarella and ricotta. The sesame crust is a unique feature. I appreciate the nutty flavour it brings. White pizza pictured.

I wish I could put a 10 star rating. I have been in this restaurant at least 3 times already in just 2 or 3 weeks. The pizza is so amazing and tasteful. The combination of flavors are surprisingly good. This is definitely a must try in the city. The staff is very friendly as well.

Really good, first time having Sesame seeds on a crust. Really good. The crust on the square pie is unreal. Only giving 4 stars because it was 75 bucks for 2 pizzas and I had to cut my own pizza slices, someone didn't push hard enough.

Fantastic pizza. Had the Sicilian square with pepperoni. Did the pick up and the pie was ready when they said it would be. Friendly staff .The place looked great! I'm going back to eat in next time and try either the Shortys Ale or the Lager. Vegetarian options: Pizza is at its base just dough & sauce with cheese and there's vegan options. Kid-friendliness: Looks kid friendly enough?

I’ve tried pizza from many different places in Winnipeg, and this is definitely the best I’ve had. Thin crust, New York style pizza, with very strong flavour. We had the “Pepperoni” and the “White” and both were delicious, although I personally preferred the “Pepperoni”. We also had a side of the “Nodini” which were also excellent. Highly recommend this place! Just make sure that you order well ahead of time, as the waits for takeout can be 1 to 3 hours.

Really good New York style pizza. If dining in it is a bit louder but still is a great atmosphere.
