Shoppers Drug Mart

i WENT INTO THIS LOCATION BARELY GRASPING ONTO MY OWN DEAR LIFE WITH BLOOD PRESSURE THROUGH THE ROOF. IT WAS 12;32 AND BESIDES ME AND MY FRIEND WHO WAS ESCORTING ME AND THE HOMELESS MAN DRINKING COCA COLA OUTSIDE OF THE STORE (WHO HAPPENED TO BE MUCH MORE USEFUL THAN THE PHARMACIST). I WALK TOWARDS THE BACK OF THE STORE, AND GUESS WHAT. THE BLOOD PRESSURE MACHINE DOES NOT WORK, SURPRISED? I WOULD BE, IF IT WERE ANY OTHER LOCATION THAN THIS ONE. I ASK THE GUY, IT LOOKED LIKE HE WAS WATCHING SPORTS NET BECAUSE HE OFFERED NO VIABLE SOLUTION. I BOUGHT A 6 PACK OF ENSURE , AND HEADED ACROSS THE STREET TO PETRO CANADA, WHERE THANKFULLY THEIR BLOOD PRESSURE MACHINE WAS WORKING. I AM NOW DEAD AND IT IS YOUR FAULT

This location has disappointed me, as they have given me pretty bad customer service. For example, I recently had to try to order a particular medication 3 times before I had any sort of success. And after than 3rd attempt, they only gave me 2 pills instead of 30! They definitely need to restock more and be more attentive.

We came to get my husband's flu shot. They told us it would be a half hour wait even though there was at least one pharmacist and two technicians. No one was dispensing the flu shot while we waited. They were rude and tried to ignore people coming to the counter to get their flu shot. Seems like some reprioritization could be done. As health care professionals you'd think they would prioritize preventative measures like the flu shot.

I am appalled by the way the lady in the pharmacy treated me. Not sure if she's the pharmacist or pharmacy assistant I'm not sure her name. She had blond hair and was older, I'll say. With a European accent. I went into this Shoppers Drug Mart pharmacy twice. Each time she degraded me. I felt embarrassed to even be "helped" by her. She would help other people behind me first, when I was there in line first. She was abrasive, very unkind, unprofessional toward me. I watched how she was toward other customers, and she was kind toward them. For whatever reason, she singled me out and treated me unkindly, abrasively, with sarcasm as well as unprofessionalism - each time I went in. Also, It took me 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged me at the pharmacy when I went to the counter. There was no one else there except for the pharmacist and the assistant. They were not busy. I had to announce my presence in order for anyone to acknowledge me. When I asked to be helped (the opposite way customer service works) another young lady with long, brown hair and was wearing all black rolled her eyes at me. I saw this myself. Every time I went to this pharmacy at This Shoppers Drug mart, I felt unimportant, and like I don't matter. But everyone else did. I did nothing wrong to this lady. It continues to bother me emotionally 12 hours later. Call me immature, but this event had me in tears. I wanted to complain in person but I felt like the manager and that no one would take me seriously. I still don't think they will. As they will favour their employees over customer concern. This older lady will discount anything went wrong in all likelihood. Another time I went in also asked for diabetic syringe 1cc individual pack with about 10 and she told me I can only buy them in boxes. (Every other pharmacy does not require you to buy them in boxes.) Those boxes are 40$ and I don't need that many. She retorts," not such a simple request hrrmm?! I guess go elsewhere and buy them!" As she frowns at me like she always did and then smiles at the next customer. I called into the pharmacy and left a message on the pharmacy owner's voicemail. Each time I was there the pharmacist looks away at his computer screen in ignorance while this lady behaves unprofessionally. Ignorant. I am Waiting on a response from the owner. I hope that pharmacy lady sees this review. one day. I will never forget.. How that older lady with blond hair and possibly glasses made me feel for the rest of my life. I have high functioning autism and I'm used to bullying, but I didn't think a pharmacy would be on the list of people who bully me.

I usually shop here because it is on the way home, that is why it does not have 1 star. I used to use it as my pharmacy, as well... until they gave me a prescription that was not for me. It was for another girl with my last name, but not the same first name... so I'm not sure how mixed up that should get... Thankfully, I noticed the name before opening the medicine and using it on my eyes, came back the next day to get my actual prescription and they still charged me the fee to pick up the correct medicine.
