Shoppers Drug Mart

The pharmacy was amazing. I had to get meds for my better half and they were very accommodating. Had the prescription ready in half an hour. Thanks guys. You are the best pharmacy I have ever dealt with.

Went to the pharmacy last minute to quickly pick up a blood glucose monitor for my diabetes as I forgot them at home since I’m here on vacation.nThe pharmacist older woman with a dirty blonde pixie cut was extremely rude to me and my situation which l kindly explained to her.nAs me and my partner waited we over heard her talking about me and calling me a “underaged child and a brat” after hearing that I gave her the same attitude back and she became very passive aggressive.nVery unprofessional and disrespectful, if anyone is in the same situation, go somewhere else where they treat you with respect.

UPDATE: After being denied a strep test on Tuesday, my throat pain intensified, and I got an appointment on Thursday at a different clinic. Tested positive for strep and now on a round of medication…very disappointing that I had to let the infection intensify and get painful before being taken seriously.nORIGINAL REVIEW: Managed to snag an appointment at the clinic last minute. When I showed up the pharmacist seemed to have in his head I had seasonal allergies from the moment I walked in the door and was not open to considering other possibilities…had a swollen throat and throat pain but I was told ‘we can’t swab everyone who comes in here with throat pain’ even though I’d tested positive for strep throat recently the pharmacist seemed to think it was impossible I could have it again, even though this same exact thing happened to me just last year. I understand that pharmacists have a process, and I can respect that, but after driving 45 mins each way to get into the clinic so I could try to catch it early, to meet with a pharmacist who wouldn’t even consider the possibility that I could still have an infection after being treated still with a sore and swollen throat and to be sent away telling me they can’t check it swab…that was really disappointing and upsetting and I really hope he’s right but being treated as though you don’t know anything about your own body is really infuriating. I hope the pharmacy team can learn from this experience that customers don’t appreciate being treated like they’re crazy for coming in and asking to be checked for an issue they have.

Shopping on Saturday afternoon and only one check out open with a line up of 7 people while three staff standing looking at us waiting. I asked if they would open a second check out and was told No use the the self service , very rude person in charge. Shoppers was a great place to shop where there was a friendly staff but not any more. Many of my friends are not coming to the store due to push to make people use self service check outs. Sad to see the way you are treated there now

I had to share my experience with shoppers and the wonderful pharmacist Jody who helped us. We had an issue and went to see Jody for her assistance. Above and beyond care would sum it up. She called she texted she left messages all the while keeping us in the loop of how things were progressing. Kind thoughtful and genuinely concerned.nMy husband and I thank her for her due diligence and help through this.nExcellent service and genuine care.
