After periodic problems with prescriptions being filled incorrectly, I scheduled a medication review. I received multiple reminder texts to ensure I would respect their time. I was punctual but a prior appointment arrived late and I had to wait. Even though the lady who scheduled the review was available to do it, she told me their rule is to take turns. Clearly, honouring my appointment and respecting my time was not important. She offered to rebook, but this was not the first problem, and I need to find a pharmacy I can depend on. I'm 64 years old, and medication problems are not the same as cold French fries - our health matters.
On the evening of June 18th the female pharmacist was rude, inappropriate and unprofessional. I normally use shoppers at clarington which is 10/10 but closes early.nMy dr called in a rx for me due to some post surgical concerns. When my daughter called to check on my rx on hold for 25minutes this pharmacist questioned who she was and what her relationship was to my Dr?!? Because I had just had surgery my adult daughter was going to pick up my medication. Apparently this pharmacist thinks that this is her business. My daughter and my doctor both explained that the prescription was sent there so that I could start it that night and not wait until morning. My daughter was told it took a while to create a new pt profile and the prescription was not filled despite the fact that she had hours to do this.
Poor communication skills from the pharmacy assistance people. The pharmacist know their stuff but the people helping them lack communication and customer service skills. When you talk to them they walk away before you are done and don’t even let you finish talking. Today they told me my child’s medication was not covered and when I checked on the Ontario website the medication is covered by OHIP. I’m definitely thinking about switching pharmacies to avoid dealing with these people.
This Shoppers Drug Mart is consistently closing earlier than its posted hours, which is incredibly frustrating. I've made multiple trips only to find the doors locked before closing time. The staff also come across as unfriendly, rarely greeting customers and often looking annoyed or unhappy. Customer service feels like an inconvenience to them rather than a priority. I hope management addresses both the early closures and the overall attitude of the staff because it creates a very poor shopping experience.
243 King St E., BowmanvillennVery disappointed with the rude and unprofessional behaviour of the pharmacist Mr PremnnI live in newcastle and and requested my family doctor to prescribe my medicine in above said branch but instead he did it in shoppers drug branch ihighway 2 I was not aware of itnnI went to king st branch at night around 11 to take my medicine and I informed Mr prem m here to take my medicine. He looked in his system and straight away told me I am not registered in their system and my medicine is not here. I tried to explain him that should not be the case as I have taken my medicines from here earliernnI showed him my prescription and he called up highway 2 branch n confirmed my medicine is there.while he was on call I requested him to cancel my medicine from there or transfer my medicine in this branch as its already late n easy for me to collect rather then driving further away from my home . But he just cancelled the call and told me to go there n collect it in a rude way. Or tell your doctor to prescribe in this king st branchnnI left without my medicines and next day called up my doctor to prescribe in king at branchnnWas not expecting such rude behaviour when he could have easily helped me
