I can't say enough good things about Pharmacist, May Matta at Shoppers Drug Mart Pharmacy in Penetanguishene. May goes above and beyond every time, providing exceptional service with care and compassion. She is extremely knowledgeable and thorough, in addition to being incredibly thoughtful and sensitive when discussing medications and health concerns. What really stands out is her attention to detail and taking the time to explain everything clearly to ensure I feel comfortable and confident with my medications. It is clear that she truly cares about her patients, and that kind of dedication is exceptional. May Matta is professional, compassionate, and meticulous and I highly recommend Shoppers Drug Mart Pharmacy in Penetanguishene because of May!
I attended this pharmacy devoid of other customers on Friday March 21 2025 about 8:30 PM specifically to get an assessment and antibiotics for my UTI symptoms. At first the older male pharmacist told me I needed an appt but I reminded him the website stated walkins are accepted then he insisted I needed to see a doctor at the hospital ER. The next day I went to the ER and waited for what seemed like an eternity to see a physician who was quite surprised to hear that the pharmacist refused to do the UTI assessment. Since the pharmacist refused to do the assessment, I inadvertently used precious time the ER team could have spent on a patient that couldn't be treated by a pharmacist. The ER determined my UTI was uncomplicated and I was given a script for antibiotics which worked within a few days. I emailed the owner of the drug store advising of my recent experience but haven't received a response yet.
The most amazing staff! Such kind and knowledgeable staff. I am so grateful to know I can rely on staff to provide the best care possible. The staff at the Penetanguishene location have been so reliable for both myself and my 7 year old daughter. I will always recommend this Shoppers location, superior service by far.
May and her team are absolutely wonderful. They are knowledgeable and always willing to help. Ahmed is so kind, and it’s always nice when they greet you by name.
I would like to acknowledge the pharmacy manager May Matta at Shoppers Drug Mart located at 122 Main St.Penetanguishene, On.nfor excellent customer service skills, she managed to turn an unpleasant situation in a very good experience. I am a retired former associate with Shoppers Drug Mart and I live temporarily in Tiny On, 17 km away from this particular store which delivers prescriptions ones a week to Tiny, On., always on Thursday. I have my prescriptions filled at the above address and they were supposed to be delivered today.nit was late in the day and my prescriptions didn’t arrive. I called the store and it just happened to talk to May, she told me that for some reasons my prescriptions were not sent for delivery. Because I was not able to go to the store to pick up the prescriptions May told me she would do whatever was posibil to send them to me today and if she can’t, she will deliver them by herself at the end of her shift.nI was very impressed with her kindness and dedication. At about 7 PM I got my prescriptions delivered by a driver from another Shoppers Drug Mart store and thanks to May I didn’t miss my treatment today. An error was made but she knew how to solve the problem and make me feel appreciated as a valuable and loyal customer at Shoppers Drug Mart.nThank you May, excellent customer service !
