Updating today the 28th of Oct 2024 - Had booked vaccination for flu/Covid and was not informed that all appointments were cancelled for today Oct 28 until showing up today at my appointment time of 1:05 pm - please notify if any changes via system, as this was booked online, an email update or notification would have been easy. Great service by the manager! I forgot to get his name but he was working on 31st August at 1pm. Here's what happened:nnI purchased baby formula from another Shoppers drug mart from Brampton while on my way to Timmins. We were moving so we did not see the expiration date on the baby formula. While on the way, we saw the expiration date was for 1 month only and for 18 bottles of 237ml. We were near this Shoppers at that time on Wellington. We called and spoke to the manager first to see if they would exchange it and the manager said he will need to see it in person. We went into the store and showed him the bottles. At first, he refused because it is baby formula and we didn't have the box, we just had the bottles. But eventually he let us exchange the formula. We really really appreciate that. Just want to say Thank You! Baby food is really expensive and because of him we were able to exchange the formula.
Staff are cold. They made an error and didn’t handle it very gracefully. I’m under 25 and have a private plan to cover my medication- however I was billed incorrectly. This was followed by them telling me that it was my fault, as I didn’t give them the information they needed. I’ve moved several times in my life and have transferred pharmacy’s in the process- I have never had an experience like this one before. They blamed it on my previous pharmacy and said that it could be their fault for not sending the forms correctly- so I called them and they re-sent it.n45 minutes later and I got my refund.nI apologized that the situation was confusing, and they said “it’s okay”nLike no baby girl it should be the other way around.nThanks for the glares- I’m obviously not coming back- hopefully others don’t have the same experience.
Questionable treatment by a clerk.nMy wife and I stopped into this location to buy some items and get some lottery tickets. When ready we went to the main cash #1. The clerk who was looking after the self checkout came over and informed us that that only cash would be taken at that till , no debit, and we had to use self checkout otherwise. We questioned that and were told it was a store policy that had been in effect for a year. Needing lottery tickets the clerk got those out and took us to the self checkout, scanned through the lottery tickets, then assisted us in completing the checkout. While she was doing that, I watched another customer come to the main till #1 and get checked through by a different clerk. That customer paid with debit .. something we were told we couldn't do. Other customers behind that person had also lined up. I didn't see any of them get turned away or directed to self check out. Our feeling is that we were lied to by the clerk. Why, We have no idea. We rarely go in that location, but if we do and that happens again, I will ask to see the manager and address the situation. If this happens to you .. ask to speak to the manager.
Went to pick up prescription today and was shocked when givin the bill. My 3 months supply is normally 27 dollars. Today I had to pay 98. The excuse I was given was that they didn't the off brand version and had to give me the brand name. By the way it wasn't some rare medicine. Are you kidding me Shoppers? Your probably the biggest buyer of pharmaceutical medication in Canada. I guess this will be a new excuse for you to over charge your customers. Upset and disappointed I let you rip me off.
