Shoppers Drug Mart

Usually with few exceptions the staff at pharmacy are good. I have recieved right guidance from few pharmacists. However one of the refills for iron has been pending for a month and another med has been due for a week. They are short of the iron supplement because they are not getting it from source. However today around 9.30 p.m. I was charged for the full amount by the pharmacist while I was given only few tablets.. the pharmacist isn't sure when the iron supplement for the remainder of 3 months fill up will come in. They vaguely said it may come this week .I explained I will be away for a lomg time if I don't get it within Friday of week ending on 19th july 2026. Hence I asked whether she could charge me for the tablets given to me. She curtly replied whether I wanted to pay twice for the dispensing fees when all the iron tablets come in. I don't understand why I have to pay twice for dispensing fees when the iron supplements haven't been in for nearly a month and I will be away after this week and won't be able to collect in time if they do arrive. I felt pressured to pay and paid for the tablets I haven't recieved yet and that was a huge amount for the pills not delivered. I have made few rounds already and dispensing of yet another med is pending for a week.nnI was told by the pharmacist that they have had 40 % lay offs and are short in labor and many prescriptions for many people are overdue. This should be remedied and more staff should be provided as castlegar main shoppers serves many areas in the kootenays. This will ensure that the customers will recieve their meds in time and staff pharmacy are not overworked and don't displace their frustrations and communicate their anger passively to customers . This is an unpleasant experience specifically for people of color. Should we take our business to online pharmacies or other drug stores then?

The owner of this establishment is beyond kind and helpful. I was overwhelmed with a question about medication , she walked me through everything without making me feel stupid and helped me immensely. Erica , you're an amazing human , thank you

Shoppers drug Mart Castlegar BC. Never been treated so poorly in any pharmacy let alone a shoppers Drug Mart. I asked about how to get prescription filled because I didn't have a doctor for the first time in 3 decades. They told me to go to pharma save. And walked away. Not one pharmacy tech or pharmacist but they all acted like I'd just asked where to buy crack. A surreal and unpleasant experience from the pharmacy chain I've been a client of for decades.

I had a wonderful experience at the makeup counter with Tessa, who was super helpful in assisting me to find the makeup I was looking for. I’m not someone who wears a lot of make up, but I thought I would I would experiments and try some stuff. She gave me some wonderful advice and even offered to exchange the lipstick if it wasn’t a colour I liked. The castlegar Shoppers Drug Mart is my go to for make up anytime I’m looking. They have wonderful brands. Lots of selection and really great advice. Thank you, Tessa for helping me and giving me such an amazing experience.

Treat their workers terrible, they discriminate against people by flagging their cards, this store has done some shady stuff and kicks people out of the store when they get questioned about why they are blocking PC accounts, lying saying it’s not them and it’s PC, PC said it’s the store doing it. When you ask them why , they refuse service kick you out and call the cops. It’s time this store is exposed for what it’s doing.
