Story

Shield's has been part of the Metro Detroit landscape since 1937 when Shield's Bar opened at the corner of Davison and Shield's street.

We began serving legendary, award winning pizzas and salads in 1946,when the original location became Shield's Pizzeria.

Over the years our menu has grown to satisfy a variety of tastes, but the reason behind our success has remained constant - our commitment to offering high quality foods at reasonable prices in a light-hearted, family atmosphere.

Now in its third generation of ownership, Shield's thanks you for making us a Metro Detroit tradition for business lunches, family dinners and friendly gatherings of all types.

There is plenty of free parking, and individuals with mobility issues will find this place easy to navigate. It's pretty barrier free. We enjoyed a number of delicious Detroit style pizzas and their bread sticks were so good. The service was courteous and quick.
1st time there Great! Loved the sq pizza & Greek Salad...Fantastic Service from DeAngelo..TV's all around in Bar to watch the game..only thing... Music was just a little to loud! Other then that it was all good! Will go back again!
The customer service was good!!! However the Salmon was too fishy!! My cousin had the chili. It was cold and had too much of a tomato sauce after taste.
Loved the pizza! You can taste the quality ingredients this is my new favorite Detroit style sorry Cloverleaf. Waitress was awesome and my draft stella tasted great as well.
I hadn't been out all year but I had a really good time, everyone was way more than 6ft apart so I felt pretty comfortable. Our waitresses were very nice and did their jobs perfectly. The food and drinks were delicious! I'm very happy I was able to stop in!
Haven't had Shields in years. The pizza was good, could have been cooked a little longer. Breadsticks and salad were awesome
Quiet afternoon, not busy. Nice waitress, friendly and efficient. Food options broad and our choices were delicious.
Wonderful staff food is excellent. Get atmosphere Tiffany and Kesha takes there job serious. My top two bartenders there
