Quick responses, organized a complimentary birthday hamper in the room and upgraded to a stellar view room.n2 Housekeeping - is good too, timely service and fulfilled our requests.n3 Other features - underground parking, one of the best hotel gyms, nice pool and beautifully lit courtyard especially in the evenings. Lovely pieces of art in the lobby...nnReduced stars mainly due to the sighting of an infestable bug silverfish. Though they refunded 2 days of parking, finding this bug in the bathroom is non-negotiable especially in a 4 star establishment like Marriott who I've placed my loyalty in. Hope this will be addressed asap
Our stay at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre was acceptable, but not exceptional. We had reserved a high-floor suite with a king bed, but upon arrival, we were assigned a room with two double beds. When we inquired about our original request, the front desk questioned whether we had booked directly through their website, implying this was necessary to guarantee specific requests. Initially, we were told that nothing could be done, but after speaking with another hotel employee, we were moved to a room with a king bed. However, this change meant we were no longer on a high floor with a view, as our new room was four floors lower. Additionally, our room was not cleaned after the first night despite leaving it ready for housekeeping. We returned at 4 PM to find it untouched, and it remained that way. By the third day, we had to specifically request fresh towels and additional toilet paper. Despite these issues, the room was sufficiently clean and met our needs for the trip.
For whatever reason, this was one of the cheaper downtown hotels for the Vancouver marathon weekend. Felt like OK value in comparison to other nearby locations. Service and housekeeping is what you would expect from a luxury hotel, no complaints there.nnOur room had a great view of the city, ocean, and mountains. The nearby hospital was a bit loud, but not too bad.nnGreat central location, was able to walk basically everywhere we needed. Transit stations ~10 min walk away if needed to go further.
Very nice hotel. Service was amazing and far above the standards in American hotels. Kind and attentive across the board. Highly recommend and will return.nnStill hate the cheap, horrible coffee makers that Marriott forces on all their hotels to save pennies. But, not the fault of this hotel.
