I used to live in downtown Vancouver and I would walk by this hotel ALL THE TIME. In my opinion, it is unassuming. I didn't have any expectations for my stay and I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms are so well taken care of : The bathrooms are stocked with luxurious smelling toiletries like the shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and lotion.nnI stayed here for a work event and I paid to upgrade my room to a higher floor. I was here from Monday to Friday. The guest service agent who checked me in was lovely and gave me a wonderful room. If I remember correctly I was on floor 26 in a corner room. The room was spacious, bright, beautiful view, private, quiet, and always clean. I typically do not let housekeepers in my room when I stay and this time I did and they were super lovely ~ so efficient and tidied up my room so nicely ~ they even folded some of the clothes I left on the floor. The food during our conference was great too. It was nutritious, whole foods. I especially loved the coconut milk chia seed pudding topped with fresh fruit!nnStaying here was a treat! I would happily stay here again :
I had a great experience staying at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre. Check-in was smooth and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The location was ideal for me as it was central for everything I needed. My room was modern, comfortable, and offered a fantastic view of the city. I especially loved the courtyard at night with the decorative lights and so did a few others as many of us had our cameras out!. I’d definitely stay here again on my next visit to Vancouver.
Crap. If l could provide maximum negative stars l would. On our first l visit asked reception for milk to be sent to the room. Reaction? It was as if l asked for their bank pin. Second visit. We are part of a tour party. Tour operator told us check in 3pm. No says Sheraton earliest was 4pm yet some of the tour party checked in before 3.30. As we languised in reception we watched them leave showered and changed. First we were told one tower then it was another and then they changed their mind. My son's room was ready so l asked could we leave our bags in his room? Apparently major security implications. Many phone calls. Eventually it was implied it was okay so l asked could someone take our luggage to our son's room. 10 minutes later nothing. I did it myself having to haul 3 heavy suitcases from one tower to another . At 6.30!!!! Two and half hours after earliest check in we were provided with room cards. Here's the joke. The delay was preparing the room and then someone signing it off. Two occupants, my wife and l. How many paper cups ONE. Think of it after all that delay with someone cleaning the room and then someone checking it was okay they still got it wrong. The missing cup sums it up. Our son who has learning difficulties was very upset. We have to work hard to put that right. The cause? Ineptitude and inertia. We were treated as if we were the lowest form.
Went for a conference and it was great! Getting stuff to our rooms was slow and we would call for something and it would come 1 hours later, for like just a tooth brush. Apart from that the meeting space was good and rooms were nice.
The hotel has its pros and cons.nnThe good:nThe rooms are spacious and very clean. Beds are comfortable, with fresh sheets and plenty of towels. There’s a fridge and coffee maker in the room, which is a nice touch. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer amazing city and ocean views if you’re staying on a higher floor. You can open the windows slightly, which helps keep the room feeling fresh and well-ventilated. Location is great — within walking distance to restaurants, shops, and attractions. The pool area is nice though the pool itself is quite shallow, and there are two hot tubs and a decent fitness center. If you have lounge access, the breakfast, drinks, coffee, and snacks are a great bonus. Most importantly, the service is excellent. The staff are super friendly, professional, and genuinely try to accommodate every request.nnThe not-so-great:nThe walls are extremely thin — you can hear everything from the hallway, neighboring rooms, and even the street. Normal conversations from the next room come through clearly. The hotel is directly across the street from a hospital, so sirens from ambulances and fire trucks are constant, day and night. If you’re a light sleeper, or coming for a night or two, this could be a big issue. The room furnishings are dated, with visible scratches, and the brown-yellow-ish curtains make the space feel older than it probably is.
