Very tasty! I got a hand tossed pepperoni pizza, a couple baked sweets, and a shake. All was very good! The baked goods and pizza were a couple steps above good I'd say. The pizza crust was crunchy throughout, not doughy, and a nice layer of cheese. Plenty of flavor options to mix and match with the shakes probably 20+ but I didn't count! Very filling and yummy!
Ordered a wedding cake from her and I was not impressed!! The cake was sloppy and the frosting didn't even cover the front completely and not to mention the frosting itself tasted like dye. The best part of the cake was the raspberry filling which was store bought raspberry jam. Very disappointed!!¡
This place was GREAT! The staff is friendly and the treats are AMAZING! If you get to Newhall, stop in and grab some great bake cookies and pastries.
Service was very fast and friendly. The food was freshly made, hot, and delicious! Had one of her famous cookies for dessert, too!
Enjoy the donuts & cookies, but my favorite is the raspberry flips. Stop by anytime I'm driving thru town.
I photographed a wedding last weekend and got to taste Shelly's cakes for the first time. Let me just say, the monster cookie dough cake was absolutely delicious. I've never had a cake like that before and I've photographed a LOT of weddings where I never pass up cake. I will talk about that cake for years to come!
Been there twice now. Had a bacon,egg and cheese breakfast sandwich and other time a cream cheese/ raspberry Danish. Both were delicious
My Mom raved over the cake I ordered from Shelly for her birthday. Had her make a white wedding cake with whipped frosting and cherry filling. So fresh and delicious she said she got into the cake twice the evening of her birthday.
Stopped in thinking it was a gas station. Sweets at the counter and limited drink supply. Purchased a chocolate chip cookie and a scotcheroo. Didn't realize they had food until we went to check out. Ordered a tenderloin and jalapeno poppers and a cheeseburger with fries. Food was good. Two of three employees were very friendly. A teen girl the counter never said a word even as we're leaving. If for some strange reason, you ever wind up in Newhall Iowa, give this place to try.
You can't get better sweets than what Shelly makes. She also makes great breakfast, lunch and dinner foods!! Best pizza out there too. You won't go wrong trying out new foods from here!!!
