Dropped by in London for a quick bite. We had the pleasure to meet the owner/manager who was an absolute gentleman and very accommodating. We ordered the Shawarma poutine and shawarma bowl with rice, which didn't take long to be made. The food tasted amazing with generous portions. Overall the experience was delightful and will definitely will come back again
Halal Shawarma Joint: London Ontario. Had an awesome experience. Food: 10/10 Quality: 10/10 Custoner Service/ Experience: 10/10 Bonus Points for their in-house freshly made Saj wraps. We drove from Cambridge to London and the drive was worth it. My brother and I ordered a couple items. Zaatar Fries, Traditional Shawarma that was smoked/chared that enhances all the flavors, Shawarma Burrito definitely something different and amazing, I was so done. It was filling. Finally, we also ordered shawarma tacos that looked something different on their menu, and I sure wasn’t disappointed at all. All the items that we ordered were fresh and tasty. The staff was polite and very helpful when it came to suggestions, as it was our first time trying Shelby’s. The guy from the headquarters took out the time and gave us some amazing facts and their brand values & brand focus. The downtown location was the original Shelby’s. The interiors are well tot off and have a street style feeling. I also loved how they had managed to keep self kiosk counters for when it becomes crazy busy to help their staff members. I loved their product packaging and the best part was all the wraps we had weren’t messy at all. Like no kidding. Overall I am definitely going to come back.
Food - 5/5 Ambiance - 4/5 Service - 3/5 Price - Mid Ranged Went to Rexdale location first and thought of visiting the old location in London. Review remains same, no compromise in quality or quantity. Ordered 2 chicken shawarma wrap, mixed shawarma wrap, and bebsi. The food was amazing, saj was as good as before. Will definitely visit again. The chicken was way better than some well known Mediterranean franchises. The food was filling, and you'll not be disappointed.
I visit this location regularly and they are awesome!! Food is always fresh!! Great taste and great options!! Staff is also good!! The guy with cornrows hairstyle-Great customer service!! Must try- Chicken Shawarma wrap and fries with garlic!!
Ordered a large chicken bowl All fries and a chicken wrap. The large bowl quantity was even less then a medium bowl. Although taste was good as always, the quantity should be justified for the bowl size and price. Quantity of chicken given was also sub par.
Best chicken rice bowl I've ever had. Their saj bread is made fresh on the spot, best tasting shawarma fare in the city by far. I highly recommend this location and all others. Five stars!!!Food: 5/5
We got chicken shawarma bowl and chicken shawarma biryani. Biryani is waste of money, not worth trying. But they’re the best & to go place for shawarma bowls & wraps in the city. Customer service is good & their food follows quality standards!
I’ve been to all shelby locations in the area and I can confidently say this is the best one to go to. The food, although expensive, does come in large portions. The place was big and looked modern on the inside, staff was friendly too. They mixed up my order unfortunately, but they did end up correcting it. I’d recommend giving them a try.
Absolutely disgusting. I wouldn't have cared if it was a small piece of plastic but how do you mess up that bad? I almost died. I felt what the turtles are feeling and now I'm donating to better the environment. Thanks Shelby's
10/10 for Presentation, 4.5/10 for food. Review below I was quite excited to try Shelby’s as they have a very entertaining and inviting social media presence. I live in the Mississauga, ON area the hub of Shawarma so I did come in here with some high expectations. I will start off by saying, this review is an opinion and not a fact, just like my 5 star reviews as well. First thing I noticed when I walked in which is the #1 red flag for me was that they were cooking their chicken on the flat top grill and not serving customers directly off the grill. Unfortunately this gives the chicken a very “boiled” taste because it’s literally cooking in a mountain of chicken and not getting the crisp and flavour it needs to have from being on the spit. I ordered the chicken shawarma dinner and I must say the boxing and packaging of the food is the best I have ever seen from any shawarma place ever. The prices are also not bad for what you get. Now as for the food, I was very disappointed. To me, it was just your typical dark meat chicken, very little flavour, lots of dark meat, has that dark meat/flat top cooked “stink” to it. The shawarma was not good at all. As for the fries I’m pretty sure they are your standard Costco Cavendish fries which isn’t bad but to me I am kind of sick of those fries by now given everybody serves them. As a middle eastern I can confidently tell you this place is good if you don’t know any better. However for somebody like me it falls in the Lazeez/Osmows category. Not a bad thing for the owner as these places both do very well however for me as a connoisseur I would never return nor recommend this place. Very disappointed because I really wanted to like it!
