Shawarma Hut Plus

We had dinner from this restaurant and the food is excellent! Had the chicken shawarma and the beef shawarma. Both were cooked and sessoned just right. The salad was fresh and the fries cooked in fresh oil. Nothing compares to this shawarma restaurant. The employees are super nice and the location is very clean. Definitely a place to stop and buy from!

This place is SO overhyped. I had the chicken shawarma poutine which is listed on the menu as $11 or so, but is actually almost $13 now and a "garden salad" which was $9. The salad was literally two little handfuls of lettuce with some pickled veggies turnips etc and sliced onions...for $9!! Literally pickled veg from a jar and some lettuce and it was SUPER salty, and a small portion. Such a rip off. The poutine was also super salty and the gravy was chunky, like it wasn't re-heated properly or something. The service was really friendly but the food was not great.

Love this place! We barley ever have to even order. He knows what we want before we even get in the door. Food is always delicious and we are never disappointed, this is by far our favorite go to shawarma place. Bonus that its open late

The guy who makes the food works so hard to serve the customers. I have always seen him working alone and taking care of all the orders that come in.. it is a very busy place but he is always calm and polite. I often go there for takeouts and no complaints so far. Huge shout out to this small restaurant!! Thank you for serving St. Catherine's with your amazing food.

Owner is very generous. He is open late on the New Year day which is a blessing. We had the Falafel wrap and Shawarma wrap, really good food, very good experience and will definitely be coming back. 10/10 Happy 2023

Late Christmas day meal at 10pm, after a long day travelling and a delayed flight. This was delicious meal, made by the friendly owner. We ordered 2 Gyro and chicken shawarma plates. Will go again! For us, this place was a Christmas miracle. Thank you!Food: 5/5

A fantastic place to eat. The proprietor is extremely friendly, always greeting with a smile. The absolute best shawarma plates and wraps in the city, we haven't had a single bad experience. Once, our Skip order was MIA and they offered to brings us our order personally. It's that above-and-beyond service that keeps us coming back.

Finally a decent shwarma place in St. Catharines. The 4.5 star review doesn't lie. Their food was really good. I'm this end of the world, most definitely a winner. The last time I went to a shwarma place in St Catherines, we left traumatized by what we had eaten lol. The beef shawarma plate was delicious. Loved my chicken shawarma as well but I loved my husbands beef platter more. Their garlic sauce is killer. And hummus was equally good as well. We also had their beef samosas which were not bad, but could be a bit more crispy and spicy. All in all I was overall pleased with this place. Love how it's open till midnight every day. An honest review from a local customer of 5+ years! Let me start off with this: The 1 star reviews you see below are in my opinion completely unwarranted. Please ignore them and don't waste your money at Zam Zam Shawarma across the street or Villa Madina in the Pen Centre. Go to Shawarma Hut Plus because it's the best tasting Shawarma around! Mohammed is also very polite and super nice! I have eaten Shawarma in Hamilton, Toronto, and other places in St. Catharines in the past and Mohammed really knows how to make the BEST shawarma. I was a customer from his old location, and this new location is freshly renovated with brand new tables and chairs and new cooking equipment. Everything is super neat and clean. I can't and will not eat Shawarma anywhere else! I have had the following dishes: Chicken Shawarma Wrap, Chicken Shawarma Plate, Beef and Gyro plate, Falafel wrap and plate. All of them have been super delicious! The portions are big on the plates. The plates come with the meat of choice or falafel if you do not eat meat, rice, salad and hummus/garlic sauce. The garlic sauce is AMAZING! The wraps are also stuffed very generously with lettuce, onions, pickled cabbage and turnips, pickles, hummus, garlic sauce, tahini and hot sauce. The wraps are super filling. I bring all of my friends and relatives to Shawarma Hut and will continue to do so for years to come!
