Shawano's Cafe has good burgers priced right. The place is a family restaurant which is open and very bright inside. It's a basic dining room with plenty of seating, but a seperate bar room is attached. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have pies in a case up front, and they serve breakfast all day. We all had burgers which were topped off nicely with quality fixings. The patties had good flavor. I ordered the big boy which clocks in at one pound. They have to use a bread bowl for the bun in order to contain it all. They definitely did not deliver a medium rare burger as ordered. It was medium well, but the bun was a crispy and buttery, so with the bacon and cheese it did not read dry. It's probably more like eating two and a half normal burgers because of the bun size. It's definitely not for the average bear. Without a grizzly appetite like mine, best to step away and avoid the walk of shame, little cub. Kid-friendliness: There were several small children dining there. Parking: They have a big lot with easy access. Wheelchair accessibility: ADA compliant.
The food was delicious as always! The portion is good for what you pay. Today our waitress was Megan. She should teach how to waitress. She did an excellent job! She was attentive, asked the right questions, and personable, even though the dining room and the overflow rooms were full.
Decided to stop here because we were in town. It was really great! There’s good coffee and I like the amount of seating and look of the restaurant. I recommend the skillet!! We’d definitely come back if we were in the area. The hours are so wide you don’t have to worry about not making it in!
We stop here frequently when traveling to Door County. Food is excellent, fresh, and well. Their burgers are amongst the best I've had. It's not overcooked. Very friendly folks and the place is clean and well maintained.Food: 5/5
The French dip roast beef was a little dry but bursting with flavor. Good au jus. If you like Swiss on it, you'll have to ask. Fries were a little limp but seasoned perfectly. Great service. Homey atmosphere.Food: 4/5
Really enjoyed having breakfast here. The staff was very friendly and the food was great. Was in town visiting and very happy that someone recommended that I visit this cafe.
