Shaw's Ice Cream was established in 1948. At Shaw's we're dedicated to providing great taste one scoop at a time!

Story

Shaw's Ice Cream was established in 1948 by Carl Shaw and his family. Since this time, our operation has maintained a long tradition of producing fine quality ice cream. What's the secret to making such great tasting ice cream you ask? Well its no secret at all, we simply use only the best ingredients and of course real Canadian cream! We take time in sourcing the purest flavourings, fruits, and dairy ingredients to bring to you what we consider the worlds best ice cream!

Shaw's is currently owned and operated by sisters Kristine, Kelly and Kim. Need to find us, or just want to chat about ice cream? We are often found in our production room carefully making our famous products, or on the delivery truck ensuring that there is always fresh ice cream for our customers. You might even find us serving up splits in our dairy bar, or just sitting back enjoying a big scoop of our favourite flavour. In fact we love our ice cream so much we eat as much as we can and whatever is left over we sell to you!

I attended with my puppy. It is a walk in and walk out store. I put my puppy inside my jacket so I could go in and get a cone. A young girl comes out from behind the counter at the store and yells over the counter, "excuse me..is that a dog in your jacket? " you can't be in here as it's unsanitary. My dog is not on the floor or touching a thing. I left. My daughter gets my ice cream cone and says...that girl was handing money and scooping ice cream with out washing her hands or wearing gloves to touch the cones. THAT IS UNSANITARY.. UGH. She could have been much more polite but she should look after her own sanitary issues before hollering across a crowded room at someone.

This place is pretty awesome. I mean, it's ice cream, how can it now be? I would have given 5 stars, but man, the lineup was out the door and there were only a limited amount of people working. I mean, it was a Tuesday, but still, the poor girls behind the counter looked like they were run off their feet! Regardless. You come here, you get epic ice cream, you leave happy. It doesn't get much better than that.

Mmmm. Just awesome, so many flavors. Summer can be really busy with big lines, but they always have a large and efficient staff to speed things up. Worth it!

Awesome ice cream and sherbet - everyone in the area has been going to Shaws for years and years. They have a pleasant outdoor seating area with newer, well maintained, large picnic tables with umbrellas, a huge lawn kids can run around on, and lots of parking. Staff are always friendly and you can sample a flavour or two before committing to your selection. They are open year round (bonus!) and have some indoor seating. Take out tubs are available. My family loves trips to Shaws, it's a summertime institution.

I drive from London, just for Shaw's. The lineups can extend out the door, but the wait is worth it. Shaw's also sells it's top flavours in 15.L tubs for $6. I also ask for a plastic spoons, I can never wait until I get back to the city.
