Kelowna players are competing with Pacific Storm Water Polo Club this weekend in the National Championship League. The setup of this facility is excellent for water polo with 2 big screens showing the scores for each pool. Well organized tournament by Water Polo Canada and supported by Team Sask. The kid-friendly section of the pool is nice. I like that there are two different hot tubs with different temperatures. This is the best civic centre for lane swimming when they have all of the lanes open; when it’s limited to a section of the pool the lane swimming can get a bit chaotic and isn’t well managed by the lifeguards. The gym space is great.
I come here for the gym, which be ending month end. Seems they’re more interested in catering to everyone who doesn’t pay to use the facilities. The gym is a glorified daycare more times then not with little enforcement. The fitness consultants are great but everything else falls short. Junky equipment that’s always outa order or broken for weeks at a time, with fees going up annually I’m not exactly sure what it’s improving but it doesn’t seem like much.
Shaw Centre in Saskatoon is an excellent place for swimming and fitness. The pool area is spacious, clean, and very well maintained, making it enjoyable for both casual swimmers and those who swim for exercise. The facility offers a welcoming environment, with good lighting, modern equipment, and plenty of space even during busier times.nnI personally go there once a week for swimming, and every visit has been a positive experience. The water is kept at a comfortable temperature, the lifeguards are attentive, and the change rooms are well-organized and clean. It’s also a family-friendly place, with areas suitable for kids as well as for adults who want a serious workout.nnOverall, Shaw Centre is one of the best fitness facilities in Saskatoon, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and enjoyable swimming experience.
Worse place to go on family day. All I listened to was staff yelling at everyone there, looking very not friendly, continuous counting.Lots of families, yes, only one hot tub working. But maybe if there's limits, restrictions, discuss those with your front entry people.
