I had gone to see Dr. J for the first time, and had an excellent experience. His bedside manner, courtesy, knowledge and staff are really great. He helped me out when others could not. I have found my doctor! The staff is courteous and go out of their way to help the patients out. They are very busy, but you will not receive a better experience elsewhere. The girls who work there are all helpful. There was another patient there who had a medical emergency requiring an ambulance, and the way the staff responded made you feel that you are in very safe hands. Thanks Dr. J.

I had an appointment today but decided after the rude and condescending treatment I received (before I even saw the doctor I was there to see) that this is clearly not the doctor's office for me. For one, the staff, front desk and medical doctor alike, are unprofessional. The Indian woman doctor said to me the following: "You came here to waste our time..........and your time" "So you want to interview the doctor *giggle*" "Maybe this is not the doctor's office for you then" after I tried to explain to her that I wanted to speak to Shaun Jayakar privately as I was not comfortable with the service I'd receive so far. About the service I'd received up until that point: I walked in with no one waiting in the lobby & with all windows to the front desk closed. It isn't a clear glass like normal, it is more like a tinted amber, which is weird. A white man walked in a couple minutes after me and the place came alive! Someone from the back came out and asked his name and the door to the front desk finally opened up! But I was still not greeted. Instead, I was asked "Are you with him?" and after I said no I was not given any further communication but she communicated to the front desk person who'd been ignoring me that I was a new patient. I did not know what that was supposed to mean but it resulted in her mumbling to me that she needed my ID and insurance card and then handing me some forms to fill out. I was still not professionally greeted by her or anyone. I handed her my IDs and sat down to fill out the forms. I finished filling out the forms and went to take it to the front desk whose window was closed again. This is odd to me and did not know if I was supposed to knock so I simply sat down the clipboard in front of the window and sat back down. Another patient had come in and I looked over and saw that the clipboard was still there so I got up and walked over to the window that was now open because she wanted to greet the patient that had just walked in. At that point, I realized that several people had came in and been taken care of (greeted courteously, taken to the back, assisted, etc.) while I was wondering if I was invisible. I then asked the woman to please give back the sheet of paper I gave her when she brought my cards and everything else as well because I was not sure if I wanted to keep or cancel my appointment. I also asked her if I could please speak with Shaun Jayakar because my intentions were not to not be seen by him since most times medical doctors simply do not know how rude and unprofessional their front desk staff is. I was given fake compliance & sat there for another 15-20 minutes before the Indian woman doctor burst through another door from the back & said my name. I walked to her, she asked me why I had not given the chart back to the front desk & I told her that I felt uncomfortable and wanted to speak with the doctor before I write this place off for good. She responded with the aforementioned before I asked her, "Why are you being rude?" What is wrong with me wanting to speak to someone about the front desk before just leaving?" We then went into a private room where I tried to explain to her that the service I'd received was unprofessional & did not feel right since I literally watched them interact and treat others like FAMILY AS SOON AS THEY WALKED IN THE OFFICE. One patient even called the doctor by his first name (which isn't a problem) & asked to speak to him & was taken back 5 minutes later. It is nice that they make their patients so comfortable but shouldn't new patients feel that way too? Oh & I simply cannot forget how the man who walked in just a couple of minutes after me was walking back out (2:50p) with a smile and a nice line of encouragement, "Good luck!". I swear to you he said that to me! As if he knew how shady this practice is and how they clearly extend professional and courteous treatment to those they feel worthy. Shaun Jayakar may be a great doctor & I was looking fwd to getting his advice on my suspected sleep disorders. Oh well.
