Had a very pleasant surprise here. Stopped in for a supper and it is a great venue for food and drinks. Sits by the local boat club. The menu has many gluten free alternatives and also carry some tasty vegan choices. Had the chicken and potato dish. The cream sauce was very good and complemented the spicy chicken. My cocktail was also very nice. Service was great and friendly. Place went from not to busy to very busy by 7. But had lots of sitting areas for more. Would recommend walking the boardwalk and grabbing a meal here as a perfect date night experience.
Such a great atmosphere, and the food was great! It was our first time visits and the staff, especially the owner, made us feel like old friends! I tired the Penang Chicken and it was magnificent! I can wait to try the rest of the menu and come try the patio!
Such a beautiful location in every season. We've enjoyed dinner here in the summer by the lake, it's stunning, especially at sunset! We recently dined in the winter and it was magical. They have beautiful decor with pretty lights. The food is delicious. I had the Tuna Tataki and a Cove margarita! Everyone in our party enjoyed their cocktails and their meals. Our server was such a sweetheart as well. Such a positive experience!
First time visiting this Lakeside charmer - so very glad we finally made it for dinner. Enjoyed the friendly and attentive service and excellent, fresh food. The black cod fish & chips were perfect. Happily the fish was not heavily / overly battered. Loved the bibimbap and the nice bit of spice in the sauce...just the right heat. Oysters on the half shell were so good that we had to order a second dozen! The wine and shallot mignonette oyster topper was insanely good! It's rare for me to start from Tabasco and Lemons : The by-the-glass wine list was a bit disappointing...but happily recovered by a well rounded bottle listing featuring many excellent local vintages. A beautiful restaurant with amazing views - right on the lake. Not sitting on their "view-laurels" was a pleasant surprise. Can't wait to visit again - hopefully in the summer and during the day to take in the breathtaking views.
Beautiful views and delightful service. The food was decent bit for the price it didn't really live up to my expectations. I got the prawn po boy and it was extremely bland. Otherwise, a great spot.
*Edit to add a star! Came back and tried the ravioli, which was absolutely amazing. Tried a couple cocktails, too Cove Margarita and the Steeped Old Fashioned, and they were both great. Great ambience and really friendly, knowledgeable staff. The food we tried was good, but nothing special. I’m sure we’ll be back to give some other dishes a chance!
Beautiful restaurant. Friendly service. Food was good but not great. The Applewood Smoked Salmon had a fennel salad and potato gratin with thyme flavours that were both too strong for me. The salmon was cooked perfectly though. My husband had the fish tacos and he wished the fish proportion was larger.
The food is so excellent we keep coming back. The kids love it and the staff is super friendly. Absolutely recommend this place.
We went in for dinner last night and absolutely loved every part of our experience. The atmosphere was super fun, classy yet still casual. Cocktails margaritas were delicious. We ordered the cauliflower wings and calamari to start, all 4 of us were essentially left speechless after the first bite of cauli wings... they were SO good!!! The calamari was great as well with the sautéed and seasoned veggies. We all enjoyed our meals but the fried chicken sandwich was the favourite overall... actually the best chicken burger I've ever tasted in my life. On top of this, the service was superior and it was clear that the staff genuinely enjoy working there and cared about our experience, with 3 different servers popping by to check in and have a friendly little chat. I will definitely be making a point to stop here anytime I visit Summerland.
If I could give more than a five star review for this establishment I wouldn’t hesitate. Not only was the food very very delicious. It was perfectly timed, from when our server Jenna came to pick up the plate from our appetizer, our entrees magically arrived in perfect unison. My wife and I ordered the calamari to start, with the handmade ravioli and bibimbap to follow. If you choose to enjoy a meal here, I can only hope you have as amazing of an experience as my wife and I did. Definitely will be returning and definitely recommend.
