Such great food, we go super often and recommend to everyone. Always clean and friendliest staff! Great price and so fast too.
Super tasting pies! Tried their KAAK bread with cheese and it was a nice change from the traditional cheese pie you can get- the addition of the sesame needs added a great crunch and flavour to the cheese. The bread is also very nice and crispy. The meat in the pies are well seasoned. Generous amounts of cheese in the pies as well which is always a bonus! The place looked very clean and staff were super friendly/ welcoming.
It is so good. If you like spicy pie try their Muhamra. It is not so spicy but very delicious. Similar to the traditional one back in Syria. Recently they added chicken pie which I found it tasty as well. I highly recommend this bakery.

Solid, fresh, consistently great food. Good variety too. Tariq and his brother are really great guys! My preferred place to get my fix for Zaatar and veggies for breakfast. Yes! Breakfast. They open at 7am.
The first place I’ve found in Ottawa that makes the Lebanese Kaak purse bread. The staff were incredibly friendly and everything we tried was delicious. I also loved the Egyptian meat pie!
Good food, good service! The sign says Al Jabal bakery, but it's under new management and they're changing the name to Shami's Bakery. The kaak is fresh and tastes delicious, but couldn't taste the cheese because they didn't put enough in it. Call ahead to make sure they have kaak left before coming in. The meat pies are on a thin crust and taste amazing. The owners/employees are very polite and kind. Definitely try them out!
The most authentic Syrian/Lebanese Manoushes in the whole city of Ottawa! I drive all the way from downtown to Orleans to get a bite.
I’ve been coming here for years and they never disappoint. Best meat pies in Orleans and Zaatar. Happy New Year!!!
