Café Shad is a really cute cafe and has several non-dairy and vegan options. We ordered the soy milk with cafe au lait and espresso. For those looking for “zero-alcohol” options they also have beers sans alcohol. The cafe is really aesthetic inside and they also sell art pieces that are hanging on the walls. It’s cute and cozy and perfect for the fall weather when it’s color season and the leaves on the trees are changing to yellows and reds. The downtown area that the cafe is in, is also very cute to walk down. I would totally recommend anyone visiting the area to come to Shad Cafe.
Nice late night cafe in Victoriaville. Dined here once before for a grilled cheese sandwich and salad, and decided to try it again with others. This time it was for dessert and hot beverages. Staff are welcoming and helpful. The desserts always look amazing, and had to have some this time. The Bagdad triple chocolate mousse cake, the chocolate coated Noix Japonais filled creampuff, and the pouding chomeur poor man's pudding with maple syrup were our choices, with a couple maple lattes and a Cacao Shad hot chocolate. There were no complaints.
The food and bevs here are really good! What's even better is the staff! When we went there was a heat wave in the summer. My little guy was not feeling well and yacked all over the place while we were ordering. The staff really downplayed it so my son wouldn't get embarrassed. They quickly cleaned up and moved on like nothing had happened. I can't express enough how much i appreciated their kindness and concern. Real respectable coffee shop pros at this place. Highly recommended!! Please tip generously!
great place to have a drink or to make a good dinner. The style of the room and the rooms are fantastic, tables and sofas in which to sit, excellent food and beers, the service is great, quick, fast and the waiters are very friendly and professional, prices are normal. A institution in victoriaville. They serve the best grill cheeses! If you like small intimate independent coffee shop, you'll love the shad. It's not a great place for a large group since it's really small, but for 2 to 4 persons, it's great.
