They were very professional and extremely helpful in making sure I understood exactly what was going on each step of the way. They made me feel like I wasn't just another job, but that I was valued. I had a septic back up and they came in to sanitize and clean a concrete floor and a bathroom. They had to remove a large area rug in the den and 2 small rugs out of the laundry room that were contaminated. I was pretty happy with the outcome, even though I thought they had too many workers. It wasn't until after they left that I found a rug and a nasty piece of pipe they left in my driveway.
Quality of work was unacceptable. During their first visit, this company only completed HALF of the job and claimed they were done. After multiple attempts to reach the service manager, they returned. When they told me they were done a second time, I crawled back into my attic and quickly identified multiple areas where work had not been completed. Their third attempt to complete the job was still sub standard. Work to be done was soda blasting to remove mold from roof sheeting and trusses in attic and installation of baffles to improve attic ventilation. The crew that installed the baffles only half of them the first time clearly had no idea, or didn't care, how to install. They were no where near correctly installed. It seems they just wanted our money and expected that I wouldn't check the quality/completeness of their work.
We called Servpro after we had water damage in our dining room ceiling after a pipe broke. Our insurance company told us they had worked with Servpro before and were used to dealing with them. The guys that came were nice enough, and they had no trouble ripping and tearing up our ceiling. However, once they tore everything apart, they said they were unable to fix the plumbing problem and we'd have to call a certified plumber to fix the problem then they'd come back and do the repairs. Fair enough. A few weeks later, once we hired a plumber and addressed the problem, I called Servpro back so their restorative team could come repair our ceiling. I was told they were very busy and backed up on jobs and they wouldn't be able to help me for at least a few months. I was furious. I told them I was under the assumption that when they were putting a huge hole in my celing and explaining to me the game plan on how they were going to fix it, that they actually WERE going to come back and fix it. The receptionist at Servpro said it would still take months for them to come back. Now I'm stuck with a bill of over $3,000 and literally all they did was rip apart my ceiling and leave a dehumidifier and a fan at my house for 2 days. Worthless. I would not hire them again, nor recommend to anyone else.
I'm very grateful for the advise given to us by Daryl that helped us navigate the traumatic experience of cleanup after a fire in our home. This company is first rate and operates w/ integrity.
They damaged our items. They were not cleaned properly and they stole from us!
