Subject: Concern Regarding Incorrect Information on OHIP Eligibility for CUAET ApplicantsnnDear ServiceOntario,nnI am writing to express my concern about the incorrect information provided by one of your ServiceOntario staff regarding the eligibility of Ukrainian nationals who arrived under the Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel CUAET program.nnAccording to Ontario Ministry of Health, OHIP Bulletin 220407 and the official Ontario Health Care Guide for CUAET arrivals, individuals who came to Ontario under CUAET are immediately eligible for OHIP coverage for the duration of their immigration documents. There is no requirement to prove six months of employment or other restrictions that apply to regular temporary residents.nnUnfortunately, when we visited ServiceOntario, we were incorrectly told that my brother must work at least six months before applying. This is not in line with Ontario law and the official Ministry of Health guidelines. Such misinformation causes unnecessary stress and delays for newcomers who urgently need access to health care.nnI kindly request that ServiceOntario provides updated training and clear instructions to staff, so that all Ukrainian CUAET arrivals can access their OHIP rights without unnecessary barriers.nnThank you for your attention to this matter.
On a cold winter day I was in a complicated situation and it seemed the only way to solve my problem was to drive about 11 hours to Toronto and back to Montreal. When I went to this serviceOntario the closest location to Montreal, Jay Jay and Jaime were very cooperative and found a completely legal way to solve my problem and I didn't have to go back to Toronto. This kind and respectful behavior of helping others is truly admirable.nThanks Jay JaynThanks Jaime.
Very polite. Very helpful. Took a number and waited maybe 10-15 minutes for service. Everything was smooth and easy to deal with. Appreciate the ease . Thanks again
A totally surprising, helpful and pleasant for the first time ever at a Service Ontario office. And a personal public thank you to the gentleman that served me, I just wish I had taken note of his name.nnI was unaware that my health card and driver's license were suspended 5 days earlier due to reaching my 72nd birthday. Unfortunately on the day that I had to immediately replace them to solve a different issue I was encountering with extreme results the worst of my disability symptoms of pain.nnI dreaded the fact that I had to go to Service Ontario that day however the gentleman who served me turned the dread into appreciation for his efficiency, patience and professionalism. Thank you sir.nnWhen disabled it is increasingly difficult to find public services where most staff tend to be impervious to the situation that for the disabled the smallest things condemn times be to stressful. In this case the gentleman in question did the complete opposite the smallest thing became a thankful moment. He recognized that just to talk to him I need to lean on the counter he recognized that while he was doing the paperwork it was beneficial for me to sit down and he recognized that when I needed a glass of water he got up got it so that I could take the thirst caused by the pain away to say thank you and good day. I'll probably never be able to give a 5-star ever again to a Service Ontario office, but you know what at least I now know if they deserve it they bloody will better get it.nnIf you're disabled and in the Hawkesbury area or can get there I resoundingly recommend even though it's a little bit out of the way this service Ontario office. If it happens that some higher up sees this I do hope that the members of that particular office get to know their colleague is uniquely responsible for the only five star I've ever given to a Service Ontario location and that I rarely give out five stairs
Worst service ever:nnWe came here from Service Ontario Alexandria very good service, since they were unable to help us with an outdoors card. At first they did not wanted to help us since we had no appointment, we explained the situation we came from another service Ontario office and we were non-residents the guy agreed to help us if the next person didn't show up. Note, there was nobody but employees in there !. After a few minutes we were invited in and there was a blond middle aged lady who refused to help us.
