I had a wonderful experience at this duke st. ServiceOntario today. Ashley was incredibly helpful, guiding us through the health card renewal and address change process with patience and kindness. She explained everything clearly, and her sweet demeanor made the visit even better. The entire process was quick—we were done in under 10 minutes! Truly appreciate the excellent service here.
Leaving this review because this location's current 2.7 star rating did not reflect my experience.nnTLDR: made an appointment online and was in and out in less than 10 minutes.nnI booked an appointment here the day before because I needed to renew my driver's license + health card, and I was not able to do it online because I needed a new photo.nnI showed up within a minute or two of my appointment, got my ticket, and I was called right after an employee finished with the person they were helping. There were maybe 20 people waiting, so I can see how people who didn't book an appointment might be upset. But morale of the story is: book an appointment online the day before.nnThe lady who helped me was very efficient, and straight to the point.nnParking at this location is not great. There is street parking, but there were no spots when I showed up. I parked in the public parking garage across the street. It said $4 for 2 hours, but since I was only parked for less than 15 minutes, I didn't have to pay.
I had a 10:45 apt today January 30 2025 , but got in early when I arrived. It was not busy, and I had read all the good reviews previous to going and read a few good reviews about this one clerk named Dana, how she goes above and beyond to help you, and they were right, she is amazing, and I had a difficult situation with my ID and documents, but she directed me kindly on how to get them all straightened out. She was so nice, professional, and I was so happy with the kind service. This will be the only Service Ontario I will go to from now on. The experience was beyond what I had expected. Hopefully I will see her again when I go back.
Dana was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and kind. We laughed and talked while she efficiently went above and beyond. Things I didn't even have planned to complete or even realize needed to be done, she recognized and went the extra mile. I wish I was able to give more than a Google review. Keep up the awesome work Dana!
Went in without an appointment. The waiting time is 10-15min. People working there are all very nice and patient. Especially thanks for Olivia your kindness and attention to details! Great service team!
