I came to this Service Canada location to apply my Canada passport. I arrived at 7:45am and there were already 5 people in front of me waiting. It opens at 8:30am and I was out at 8:46am. So it will be quick as long as you are well prepared for your documents. I parked in the parking lot #418 with $1/hour. Thanks for good service and I'm waiting for my passport to arrive. Hope you all have same good experience.

Make sure you make an appointment to to renew your passport and have all the documents required… if so this will be a smooth process with friendly staff. Or at least it was for us

I arrived to get my passport application processed about 7:50am, and there were already about 10 people ahead of me. Once the doors opened at 8:30, we were welcomed by a lovely woman who screened the first few people and told them to go ahead to the desks. They had two people registering people, and my name was called about 10 minutes after registering. I was out by 9am. The lady that helped me told me my passport should arrive by October 22 10 business days after I applied. Today is October 22, and my passport arrived today. Everyone I interacted with was helpful and pleasant.

Due to passport delays because of the strike I had to go in today to get an update and figure out options as we are traveling soon. They were organized and the young gentleman that helped did a fantastic job. He made big efforts to get me an update and to offer solutions on how to get through it. Many thanks.

I recently visited the Service Canada location in Barrie, and the experience was incredibly frustrating. With only six people serving a massive line of over 1,000 individuals, the wait times were beyond unreasonable. The pace of service was painfully slow, leaving everyone in line agitated and exhausted. Honestly, I should have brought a pillow, as it felt like an endurance test rather than a service center visit. For such an important facility, this level of inefficiency is unacceptable. Improvements are desperately needed to reduce wait times and provide a more organized and humane experience.
