Exceptional Service and Kindness at Service Canada – St. John’snnI just want to share my great experience at the St. John’s Service Canada Centre. I was in a rush after work to apply for my Canadian passport, and for some reason, they needed my flight itinerary as proof of travel. I tried logging in to print it on one of their computers but couldn’t, so I had to rush to Staples in Stavanger.nnBy the time I got back to Service Canada, their doors had automatically locked at 4 p.m. I was standing outside, hoping to get someone’s attention and explain my situation. The reception guy came out and told me they were closed, but after hearing my story — that I’ve been away from my family for five years and finally got some time off to travel home — he was so understanding and reassuring. He explained that I didn’t need to worry, and that they could still process my passport quickly.nnI was so relieved! To top it off, he even offered me a ride home when he noticed I was waiting for a cab in the cold. That was truly going the extra mile — genuine kindness that you don’t see every day. Also, a big thank-you to the kind lady who served me earlier and gave me a priority pass for my next visit.nnBig thanks to the team at Service Canada St. John’s, especially that amazing staff member who helped me out. No wonder he’s in that job — he truly cares about people.
We went to Service Canada in person to apply for our passports a few weeks ago. We went on a Friday afternoon without an appointment and did not have to wait very long at all. We were very impressed with the service we received - the person we spoke to I think his name was Ryan was polite and friendly, and provided the necessary information in a clear and thorough manner. He processed our application efficiently and we received our passports within the time period expected based on what he had told us - in fact, my spouse's passport arrived even quicker than that! Thank you, Service Canada :
Excellent customer service!! I’ve encountered 4 of the staff there when applying/picking up my passport, all of them greeted you with a smile and were above and beyond friendly.
