Pretty smooth process if you have an appointment. We were in and out in 30 minutes. The should implement a numbered queuing system- walkin's appear to stand for long periods of time. Also, the dividers screens muffle voices and make it hard for communications with the employees. Take them down or have a speaker so we can hear and speak clearly. Parking is rather steep for 1 hour minimum- $7.45. It's not like you have a choice, there are no other public parking lots around in close proximity. It's not the employees fault if they are understaffed, they were overall friendly and got the job done.
Got there before opening. Small line up of about 10 people. Place was understaffed and empty but we were in and out for a passport application in 45 minutes. We came with everything prepared so no issues. Parking in the lot is $8/hr so I took a chance and didn't pay. No problems. A better, out of the way place for services.
Quiet & clean location to complete passport services. Front desk staff was friendly & quick, but intake lineup still took 15 min due to a person needing more help. Wait time for next staff to help with passport renewal was about 30 min. Overall would recommend this location over other Service Canada locations.
I have a rant and a rave. The rant: I cannot believe they charge $7.75 for 1hr parking, this is an outrage. Most of the people are seniors, low income, unemployed, immigrants etc. and sometimes the wait time is over an hour. Shameful.nThe Rave: the main desk worker Sean or Shaun ‍ is so kind, so patient, so compassionate, so helpful. I took my senior Mother in to apply for her yearly renewal of her Senior Dental plan, she didn’t have all the information and/or there were a few things she was doing wrong when she tried to do it herself at home online. He set us up with the computer and kept checking on us and at one point when we couldn’t go further because my Mom didn’t have some information and we were about to walk out, he brought us back and helped us through it. He was also helping everyone in the big line up. He was so calm the entire time. If you see this Sean, thank you ,
I had a very disappointing experience today. The woman at the initial reception/intake desk was extremely rude, impatient, and unprofessional. I understand that people can have busy days, but the way I was spoken to was unacceptable. Every question I asked seemed to annoy her, and instead of helping, she responded with attitude and made me feel uncomfortable. At one point, when there was a misunderstanding, rather than clarifying respectfully, she reacted in a very dismissive and unpleasant way.nnI have never experienced this kind of behavior in a public service setting before. People come to these services for help and should be treated with basic kindness and respect. This experience left a very negative impressi
