I'm wondering why Kim chooses to provide discriminatory service at a Service Canada location? After talking to her to get a number and wait to renew my passport. I heard her talk to many other people.nnIf the person is a White male she will not say thank you or have a nice day.nnEvery other person gets a thank you or have a lovely day.nnThis is clear racism and discrimination.nnFurther, Lily, after processing my application. Same thing, no thank you, no, have a nice day. Both of them treated me with cold and rude service, and both of them saw that I served this country on my application.nnThis is the way you treat Canadians that served your country?nnShameful.nnI am requesting a follow-up response from management.
This Service Canada location, situated near Manning and College, is extremely efficient and low-stress. The facility is quick, quiet, and well-organized, and offers passport services. On our Friday afternoon visit, shortly after Boxing Day, there was no line-up, but on most occasions, we including our friends only took about an average of 20 minutes per session.nnThe location effectively manages both appointment holders and walk-ins, ensuring that service is filtered appropriately. Upon arrival, visitors are provided with a registration number, streamlining the process. We were in and out within 20 minutes for two simplified passport renewals, which is a significant time-saver compared to other Service Canada locations, such as the Passport Office in Mississauga Central Parkway.nnThe staff at this location were the most helpful and accommodating employees we have met. For instance, the employee at the registration booth mentioned that the location is generally quiet, making it feasible for walk-ins to receive service even without prior appointments. Additionally, since we requested our cancelled/old existing passports, they nullified them in person and returned them during our session—an especially useful feature for travellers who prefer to keep their old passports instead of the mail-in service.nnThe expected turnaround time for the new passports is between 20 business days to a month, and visitors are provided with tracking numbers for their shipments on the receipts. It is important to note that the new passports will require a signature upon delivery; otherwise, they may be redirected to the nearest post office after several delivery attempts. Also, they offer computer stations at the front for visitors to access additional information if needed for their forms.
Very speedy and efficient. I arrived at 7:30am they open at 8:30am and was the first in line. By 8am, there were about 10 people and by 8:30 there were 25 people in line. I was the first person in and was done with updating my SIN within 6 minutes. It looks like they saw the first 10 people right away, so if you’re coming in on a random Tuesday like I did, coming by 8am should be fine.
Wow, I can’t even believe how much this place has changed! When I came here three years ago to apply for a SIN, I had to wait in line for hours. But today, I returned to submit a passport application, and to my surprise, there was no queue at all. The office has been completely reorganized, very efficient staff, and the entire process took less than 10 minutes!
As someone that's exclusively went to the Mississauga location before, this was an incredible step up for passport renewal. I booked an appointment for 8:30, was out by 8:57. Yunus helped me fix mistakes on my form and was hugely helpful throughout.
