Serenity Bay Resort (on Tobin Lake)

Went to Serenity Bay for 5 days last summer and Rented the rustic cabin. The cabin itself is located back and away from everyone else which is perfect! It was nice and clean and the owners were always kicking around if we needed anything! Absolutely loved it! The view was nice as well as it looked over the lake! No complaints at all! There is a water tap just beside the cabin which we used for cooking and cleaning and there is a shower house just a short walk away! Highly recommend for those that enjoy roughing it a bit!!

Made reservation and was not asked how many guests staying in the site. Checked in and paid and again we were not asked how many guests. 2 family members showed up to tent on our site with us. Went to the office to ask about facilities the next morning and the manager saw the additional family and got angry because she wasn't notified. The manager made a comment saying "you're working people you can pay" when in fact both have been laid off and brought 2 small children out to go camping. We were charged an additional $80 + tax on top of the $350 we had already paid. Website states additional charge for visitors but does not stipulate $10/person per day. We would have had no problem paying for additional people if we were asked in advance when making the reservation or when we checked in. The way the manager went about the situation and comments made by her were very unprofessional. The facilities were clean and well kept and quiet campground.

The place has potential...but for the amount we paid and the amenities that were provided, I am disappointed. We only had power and access to running water with a 100 foot hose. This place caters more to the seasonal camper than the weekend camper. The dock was very difficult to use to launch a fishing boat. This was not our first time launching this boat so the difficulties we had were very bizzare. The cement pads are too far from the dock. The location is pretty pristine on Tobin Lake and we did find a few honey holes for some wally's however we were told that this year was a very slow year for fishing so far. We did have a lot of fun casting at the river though and caught quite a few nice sized wallys. In all, I see the potential this place has but would hesitate to book here again especially for $50/night.

Lake view cabin had limited area in parking space for a large boat, bathroom was very small, could see the lake if you looked for it through the trees, the launch was fine but not much room for vehicles at the launch or the fillet shack. Actually have to pull off to the side of a road on a hill at someone’s camp site to use it.

We been here two years now At serenity bay and loving it .So beautiful here ,lake view ....,. Owners Are wonderful people very friendly . Our highlight of this summer Was 5 baby foxes playing in our camp site ,fire works .Quading through the trails at serenity bay .great fishing .Boating ,swimming spot . Beautiful sunsets So peaceful and a quiet place .love it we will definitely be here for a long time .Great people around us ....

Worst place we have ever stayed!!!!!!!!! I wouldn't even give it a star because they were so rude to us and racist! Absolutely treated us like garbage because we came in late who cares!!! They had a credit card and called my boyfriends dad at 12 at night!! Because we were not there yet horrible than proceeded to tell us NORMAL ppl sleep between 11 and 7???? Yet she is making phone calls to ppl at mid night we will never be staying there Tobin lake resort has tenting spots! Oh than my bf made a joke about if he knew how expensive the wood would be he would have stopped in candle lol and got it free! Very very bad joke I know than she said it's because of YOU PPL no one can rent sites nightly anymore honestly worst experience in my life! If we didn't have ppl coming up the next day we wouldn't have stayed! Horrible will be staying at TOBIN LAKE and surrounding areas never here

We stayed in the Lakeview cabin. It was very clean, and nice and secluded so we felt we were far away from everyone. Very beautiful and peaceful place to stay.

Awful. Went to call, "I'm not at my reservations booklet right now I'll call you back" never called back. Finally called and asked if they had a spot open, she said yes. We got put in a storage space. No picnic table, no fire pit. Very displeased.

Sure glad I read the reviews. This owner seems to have excuses and denials for everything. Will keep on looking.
