First, let me apologize for mistakenly parking in your customer parking lot. That was our mistake. Today on a trip to Wallaceburg from Sarnia we mistakenly parked in your parking lot. Someone on staff informed us that the lot was for customers only and that we would have to move our car. Very fair, and we obliged. What upset me about the interaction was that I was holding a crying toddler who had just fallen in the parking lot. My husband, carrying our 9 month old in a car seat carrier had just received a phone call. I feel that your lack of ability to show empathy and grace toward us when it was clear that we were in the middle of a difficult situation speaks volumes toward your character. I can understand that maybe you deal with people utilizing your parking lot on a daily basis who aren’t customers and that this is a frustrating situation for you. What you failed to realize was that my husband and son also needed haircuts. By shouting at us to move our vehicle while observing the situation we were in, we promptly wrote your salon off the list. In the future you may wish to reflect on how your actions can impact your business and recognize that a small amount of compassion can go a long way.
