I did Japanese straightening here. My hair was very smooth, shiny and straight  after the treatment. Someone else said in her review that this treatment made her hair really damaged which I did NOT see but I only see the opposite. Plus the girl handled my hair during the treatment seemed professional. It costs usually $400 for a straightening in local hair salons but they did it for $280. People were EXTREMELY friendly and much better than local hair salons staff, despite they did not offer me water.. We will see how my hair goes after a wash at home. Will be editing

Extremely pleased with my results! I've finally decided to get my hair done after months of contemplating which salon to go to and which color to get. I went with my friend's recommendation and visited Clement from Seefu Yorkville. Clement transformed my long and untreated hair into a shiny, ashy toned ombre. He was very patient throughout every step of the process - from helping me decide on a tone, color, cut to teaching me how to maintain my colored hair. It's been a few days and my hair is still very soft! Clement is very friendly and nice. He speaks fluent English and Cantonese. Thank you for the amazing work! Definetly will be back!

My go to hair salon. Fantastic service and highly skilled stylists. The Spadina location is pretty good as well but the Yorkville one is just a bit more classy and less chaotic feeling. The hair wash, head massage and shoulder massage are a nice extra touch to an already great experience. It is pricey compared to other places though. Highly recommend Yuko who’s been consistently awesome with my hair.

I go to Akiyo for my haircuts for years now. She’s the best hairstylist I’ve ever had and I only trust her with my haircuts. I’ve literally had compliments on my haircut without any styling - which has never happened to me with any other stylist ever. I have relatively thin and fine hair that stays flat unless I curl it, but she has this amazing layering technique that helps fluff out my hair without any heat tools and make it look voluminous and bouncy right out of the shower. I always feel pampered at seefu and I always leave looking better than when I came in!

I’m always satisfied with this place, I’ve been coming here for years for my haircuts. I usually get a trim + layers. I’ve had Clement and Vincent in the past, but today I had Albert. I’m so thankful they took me in last min and it was nice to see how clean the salon is and the extra measures they go through to keep their employees and clients safe from covid19. All the employees are so kind and friendly. I love their service—I love the hair wash/head massage, their precision cuts, and how they style my hair. I always leave the salon HAPPY! Thank you

They never fail to make me happy with my hair. I ALWAYS have trust issues with people who alter my appearance whether it is in doing my nails, doing my eyebrows, or cutting my hair. It IS pretty pricey, but honestly, the money spent is WORTH IT. They make sure you are satisfied with your hair cut before they wash it. From the second you walk in, to when you walk out it's just amazing customer service! They take your coat and put you in a robe, you can stash your personal items in a locker and they give you the key for it. After the whole discussion about how you want your hair cut and the actual cutting, they wash your hair. They bring you to a dim-lit area to get your hair washed. They offer to give you a blanket while you're lying there, they cover up your eyes, they thoroughly wash your hair and give you such a relaxing head massage, and the products they use smell BEAUTIFUL!! Then you come back and they give you a shoulder and neck massage and my GOD there's just so much more to love about it. It's amazing EVERY TIME, no matter who does my hair. Thank you guys!!  Also, shout out to Yejin! She made me REALLY happy with my hair!! I used to ALWAYS stick to my long hair, but this time I went for shorter hair which was scary, and she made me fall in love with it!!! Thank you!! &lt;3

I spontaneously decided to walk into this salon and it was quite the surprise. The salon is gorgeous and the people are friendly. What I could not believe was that on top of a great hairstyle for a super reasonable borderline cheap price, they gave complimentary head and shoulder massages! I really felt like a queen in there. Highly recommend.

I was not particularly satisfied with my haircut here. When I left, I was initially quite happy because my hair stylist curled my hair, which gave it volume and a nice sassy finish. However when I washed my hair the day after and gave it a blow dry, I discovered the sad truth of my new haircut. It was styled with a middle path -  horrible, as it only serves to emphasize my round face shape - and shallow layers. What my hair stylist successfully executed pun intended was a dramatic thinning of my hair thickness in a way that no other hair stylist has done. So instead of naturally using my hair's volume and thickness to the advantage of my hair style, the hair stylist chose to intentionally reduce it significantly. It seemed that she was not very comfortable handling my hair thickness, which makes sense since the demographic of customers is primarily Chinese/Japanese/Korean and they tend to have lighter hair. I would not recommend this place to anyone with thick, dense, luscious locks. Pros: they sell a great line of products, John Masters Organics and provide a good service otherwise - tea, water and a very nice head and scalp massage prior to the hair cut. Their good service is the reason why I'm giving them 3 stars. However I personally won't be returning.
