I absolutely would NOT use Secure Accounting for tax preparation. Communications is horrible. Phone calls and emails are not returned. Meetings cancelled with no apology, and they are” too busy” to reschedule. They had to file an extension for our taxes, but neglected to tell us. We will find another firm next year!
Laura and her team specialize in real estate accounting and tax preparation although I'm sure she's capable of any accounting. They have been handling my complex returns for years. As an accountant myself, I am happy to turn these taxes over to Laura for her expertise! She is professional, thorough, knowledgeable and researches when she needs to. This is important. I'm very happy to turn my books over to Laura every year!
Laura, Did a good job...but she does not reply to my emails or phone calls in a consistent manner. Sometimes I get a reply almost immediately and others I never get anything. Then I will resend it again. Also when she filed my state taxes she forgot direct deposit on my refund. I think she is great but needs a bit of attention.
No thanks. She put 5k of my contributions under my partners “owner equity”. I couldn’t get the books to balance 3-4 years ago. After my lawyer and I reviewed the books, I understood why it didn’t balance. What an error !!! This was a portion of why I’ve had issues resolving an old issue. My lawyer wanted some things from her and she went dark.
Laura and her team really put me at ease. I feel like I am trusting my business finances to a real professional. Whenever I have a question Laura always knows the answer, she is clearly on top of tax changes and nuances that would baffle me.
I’ve worked with Deanne on my federal and state income taxes for the last two years. She’s thorough, patient, knowledgeable, and professional. I’m in excellent hands with this company and trust Deanne implicitly.
Laura has handled all my accounting needs for my business and personal accounts. I never have to worry as I know she has my best interest in mind. Professional, quick, knowledgeable and an all around great person to know!
