Story

Welcome to the Secret Garden Tea Company. You can find us in Kerrisdale, a village-like community nestled in the heart of Vancouver, BC. When you enter through the door of the Secret Garden, you will be greeted with a warm welcome and be seated at one of our tables. Order breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, or a sampling of our beautiful, homemade miniature sweets and scones. Choose from a variety of specially blended teas, served steaming hot in a teapot with teacup and saucer. You can also enjoy our premium teas at home, through our Online Tea Shop. Whether you visit us online or in our shop in Vancouver, we look forward to hosting you soon.

I really enjoy trying new places for Afternoon tea, and even when Secret Garden didn’t make it to my top list, was a nice experience. It’s a little pricy and the food is just ok. The service, on the other had, is really good and the staff lovely. I like the decoration and how the teapots wear cute clothes.nnAnother highlight is the tea, we can order different kinds included within the price. I specially enjoyed the Peach one, and their signature blend.nThe experience was good overall.
The atmosphere is super cute, the decor and tea cups are exactly what I imagine what I think of high tea. The finger sandwiches were delicious but the desserts are very mid. Pretty expensive for the amount of food you get over $100 for what’s in the photo but I suppose if it’s for a special occasion it’s more justified. Would have rated higher if the service was better. The server looked like she didn’t want to be there- wasn’t rude but wasn’t friendly either.nOverall 3/5.
Lovely high tea locations, great for special occasions. Definitely make a reservation before - there were a lotttttt of people waiting when I arrived for my 1.30pm reservation on a Sunday.nGreat little sandwiches and pasties, and each person in your party gets to pick their own flavour of tea and gets their own individual pot.nPrice reflects the experience, in my opinion. It is about $50-60/person but this is cheaper than other high teas in the area.nWill comment that parking is very limited, as it is paid street parking. Parking directly in front of the restaurant is much more expensive than parking around the corner. Not sure why.
Wonderful all around. Fantastic gluten free options and high tea. The flavors of the foods were expertly crafted to create a delicious and unique experience and the teas were likewise delectable, with a small but varied selection. A cozy, yet elegant atmosphere, with beautiful china. Highly recommend!! My compliments to every piece of the puzzle that makes up this lovely establishment.
The best vegan high tea I've had so far. Everything was delicious! And I loved that all the savory dishes had two servings! The staff is super friendly and they checked in on any dietary restrictions I have in addition to the vegan high tea I'd requested for. I highly recommend coming here even if you're not a fan of high tea nnUpdate July 2024: I came over to try the vegan high tea again. Although the menu was the same as the spring high tea menu, I still liked it! The staff is super nice! I'll be back again for sure.
