I wanted to put "0" stars, but that was not an option. I ordered a mattress set and paid in full 1 month ago, with a set delivery date of end of June. Was told my the sales person i would get a 2 hour notification call prior to delivery time at my local Sears depot. Come that day, Sears never called... I contacted the store where my items were purchased, and was advised that my items were not in the warehouse, and were only going to get delivered mid-July. I was furious as I had relatives over that weekend, and had made arrangements for delivery as Sears does not do home deliveries (even if they drive right by my house), and lost a day's vacation. They advised me that the sales personnel had contacted their clients already, as they were not sure if the store was going to close or not; which they did NOT call me. I asked in return if they could arrange a delivery to my house, which she then said "no, we don't do that", and shut me down. I then asked to get compensated, and politely asked for a discount due to all the inconveniences. She advised me that there are too many customers to compensate, therefore there's nothing they could do for me, and asked me numerous times if I wanted to cancel my order. I spent close to $5,000 this year at Sears buying appliances, and regret every purchase made there. Horrible service! Will not step foot in another Sears store again!

Just called to see if Sears had any cookie cutters suitable for wedding favors. No associates picked up the phone in the department so the switchboard transferred me to the manager on duty. He said that he would have to physically go look for them as no one would pick up the phone in the department so I should just come in to the store. Typical Sears service! I'm calling to ask about their stock because I don't want to drive into St. John's in a snowstorm if they don't have any! Get off your ass and look for a cookie cutter for a customer or check your computer. They charge enough for their products, it's the least they could do!

Do you like paying $15 for a pair of socks? What about $70 for a T shirt? Then sears is the place for you! Go quick and spend hundreds of your hard earned dollars for tens of dollars worth of merchandise! Like being asked to get a credit card every day? Don't worry, the cashiers at sears got you covered.
Hopefully this store closes soon, it is wasting a lot of space in the Avalon mall that better stores could use.

I bought a christmas gift for my child from sears.ca... It was 2 packages when I got to the store they could only find one package. That was November 19th. I have been speaking with the head lady multiple times and even called online customer service. The package was signed for. It is in store. She has a "bin" of mis-scanned packages that she said it should be in there. It is now Dec 6th and she has yet to look in it because she is too busy. Obviously your first priority is not good customer service.
