Seafood City Supermarket in Calgary is a well-known destination for Filipino and Asian grocery shopping, offering a wide variety of products that cater to both traditional and modern tastes. As soon as you enter, you're welcomed by bright, well-organized aisles and the familiar aroma of freshly cooked Filipino dishes coming from the in-store food court. One of the biggest highlights is the fresh seafood section, where you can choose your fish and even have it cleaned or fried on site asian option many customers appreciate for its convenience. The grocery selection includes everything from dried goods and snacks to frozen delicacies and hard-to-find Filipino brands.nnThe food court features popular vendors like Grill City and Crispy Town, serving up dishes such as pork BBQ skewers, lechon, palabok, and more. Many shoppers enjoy the taste of home, though some reviews mention that food can be hit or miss depending on the day. Pricing tends to be slightly higher compared to other Asian supermarkets in Calgary, but the authenticity and variety often make up for it. While service is generally good, there are occasional complaints about long waits at counters and slow checkout lines. Despite these minor issues, Seafood City remains a beloved stop for many in Calgary’s Filipino and Asian communities.
Bought this evening around 7pm and tried it 4 hours later. It tastes and smells sour. It also is slimy… thanks for wasting our money for this $16.99 dessert. Para lang kami nag sayang ng pera

This is the first time that my wife and I have been to this supermarket. We were pleasantly surprised organized, neat, and clean it is. They have a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, meats, and a lot seafood which is what we were looking for. If you don't feel like cooking they have 2 take out places called Grill City or crispy town. They also have a very nice bakery with many wonderful things to take home. We highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back.
My mother and I went to Seafood City today to get fish to cook for easter dinner. My mom got home, cleaned the fish, seasoned it and fried it up so it would be ready to eat tomorrow. My niece went over to visit and as she walked in the house she asked my mom what the fishy smell was. My mom had been in the house so she didn't really notice. So she tasted the fish only to discover that the fish was spoiled. $140 worth of fish was purchased at the supermarket.nnIf my niece did not notice we would have all ate the fish and got very very sick. We will be bringing back this fish tomorrow and asking for a refund.nnWill update my review once we go back to the store tomorrow. Happy Easter!nnSo here’s the update, the fish smelt so sour that my vehicle smelt bad when I went to return it. They did end up taking it all back, but we will not be going back to purchase anything.
