I went in to get some banking done recently on a sat. As the website said it was open Saturdays to 3pm. When I got there they changed the teller hours weekday until 5pm. Why not have a late day to 7pm or open on Saturdays. People have to take a day off to get stuff done. I asked the person at the inquiry desk why they changed the hours. He suggested to come back on my lunch break duringthe week.. Are they for real!?? Absolutely ridiculous!!
From my experience, service at this location and Scotiabank as a whole has dropped off substantially over the past Decade plus. Latest example was yesterday. At different branch that was open past 3:00PM and had tellers till 5:00. I went in to get a bank draft and was informed that they no longer issue bank drafts after 3:00 PM at all locations locally. Maybe nationally, not sure? I rarely get a bank draft so I was unaware of this new policy until yesterday, apparently they changed it about 6 months ago this was the first time inside an open bank in over 6 months. Having to pay a contractor for job well done I was not able to, thanks Scotiabank! NOT!!! Ive slowly been taking my banking needs elsewhere over the past few years but this is a final sign that an it's time to now pull the rest of it out and go elsewhere. An alternative National Bank that has good customer service, friendly customer hours, open at least a few nights on weekdays and tellers open on Saturdays of which this location does not. I will take any suggestions from reviewers reading my post of other Banks you would suggest.nnOverall in a word, unsatisfactory. Not with the modern times and needs of Today's consumers.
**Frustrating branch to bank with** Some staff are great, others not so much. Very poorly managed bank location in general. Hours are bad, no one answers the phone annoying for little questions that shouldn’t require an in person visit, line ups are always out the door they never have another tellers behind the desk. I could go on. I’d recommend taking your business elsewhere. I plan to do the same
Hours are not up to date on website. The tellers are only open 10-3 ! It’s absolutely ridiculous, how do they expect people who work to be Able to access the bank. Yes most things are available online but there is so many things that are not and to run a business you need access to a teller for more things then you don’t. What about bank drafts, money orders, card replacements, Bank payments to other branches or corporations. A computer is only good for so much we do still need humans to run businesses considering taking my personal and business and investments to another bank with more human and workable hours
How is anyone with Anything resembling a normal job that doesn't work nights supposed to bank between 10-3 with a line out the door and 3 or less tellers????nFriendly and helpful tellers are not at fault for Scotiabanks poor staffing decisions. Always nice and helped me a lot when someone withdrew money without my permission
