New to this neighborhood. Last to visits only 1 teller at their station to serve 7 customers in line. Last visit, again only one teller. After about 8 minutes, 2 additional tellers came from the back, I thought maybe back from their breaks, but NO. They immediately informed the only working teller that they would now go on their breaks! They can see multiple patrons in line! This is the worst managed banking institution I've had the displeasure of interacting with!
Not the best branch... I’ve dealt with Scotiabank for years and called 2 WEEKS ago for ordering euros. They confirmed and said I could pickup in a couple of days. I had called on a Thursday but then felt like I should check on Monday to confirm… call.. they had no record of me requesting euros so then I asked them to “re-order” as I was leaving very soon. He confirms address of this branch, the amount I want, etc etc and then says 100% to go on Wednesday 9am it will be ready. I asked for a confirmation number or something to have in case any issues arose. He said the order is placed and it will be at this branch no problem. I go Wednesday. They have no record AT ALL of me requesting this which is concerning as I called the appropriate number both times and verified my identity with them. When obviously upset at the desk, they could not really offer any help as I leave soon and needed certain denominations of bills hence why I called 2 weeks prior !! so I’m definitely not happy with this branch or Scotiabank in general.. I don’t understand how this can happen twice.. all the attendant could offer me was “you should have just come to the branch to order currency” but I have ordered the way I did on the phone multiple times before and have never had this issue TWICE within a week.
Absolutely every single time I use this bank it infuriates me. The second machine will never accept any bills I put in ever. Six times in a row running now. The first machine will eventually accept bills. However it won't let you put in a check and the bills together. I do ensure I am not putting in bills that are crinkled or torn or written on
We visited this branch for a simple bank draft and ended up waiting over 25 minutes in line without moving an inch. What should have been a quick transaction turned into an exercise in patience.nnWhat stood out most was the lack of organization. A staff member came to assist people in line but bypassed those waiting the longest—including us—and instead helped individuals further back, ignoring the queue entirely. This was frustrating and unfair to those who had been waiting properly.nnDespite visiting outside of peak hours, the staff seemed overwhelmed and undertrained. Several tellers appeared unsure of how to handle basic tasks, frequently stopping to ask colleagues for help. It looked like only one teller was fully capable, while the others seemed to be in training, which further slowed everything down.nnOverall, the experience felt disorganized and inefficient. For such a straightforward request, the service fell far below expectations.
A horrible bank. I have had nothing but issues since coming to this scotia bank. They have argued my pay cheques to require a signature when they were written 100% clear and correctly, and they now refuse to certify a scotiabank cheque to allow funds to be released on time. You can see how little their employees or at least the ones I've dealt with care about helping you with your issue, as well. Basically they gave me an ultimatum, open another account with them or refuse any right to use their services. Screw that. Scotiabank sucks now, apparently.
