Scotiabank

Very poor experience. The young guys work there have no experience to serve clients. Very Bad! I went to pickup my new applied Credit Card online. They just passed the card to me, but when I ask to get the PIN, they refuse the reset the PIN, and ask me to wait the mail to my home. I wait two weeks but eventually I have to go to another Scotiabank to reset my PIN.

Great Location. Has 2 atms which is nice but their banking hours are very inconvenient. They open at 9:30 am which is very late in the day when you compare them to TD Canada Trust. They open at 8:00 am.

They don't know how to handle wire transfers properly. One time (there has been several), they rejected a transfer with my name on it because of 1 typo in the account number... and didn't bother to notify/call me. I only found out they rejected it because I went to ANOTHER scotia branch (my previous home branch) to inquire about it. This is all after I had asked if they didn't receive my transfer. I've switched back to my old branch and payments are fine now. If you are getting paid by wire transfers and want to get paid regularly, go somewhere else.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS BANK. THEY SET UP MY MORTGAGE AND TRIED TO TIDE SELL ME ALL OF THEIR INSURANCE PACKAGES SO THEY COULD MAKE MORE COMISSION. WHEN I WANTED TO SELL MY HOME I COULD NOT GET A HOLD OF ANYONE TO CALCULATE THE PENALTY. XIAOYAN ZHAO IS A TERRIBLY INCOMPETENT INDIVIDUAL.

This is horrible bank branch to visit. Bank manager has lack of competence and no common sense. Believe or not teller gave me a wrong amount of money and manager withdraw money from account without my approval. I have lost my money from a bank very first time..
