Surrounded by existing bland academic buildings, the Science Teaching Complex is an exciting addition to campus. Handsome and bold, this new space attempts to decompose the complex task of teaching science. Playful yet disciplined, the atrium weaves circulation patterns to connect the facility's functions and users. Its expressive and articulated levels promote social interaction to dampen robotizing aspects of academia. Collisions between glass and brick structures form a strong juxtaposition that reflects the labyrinthine of real struggles typical science students face. Large glass volumes allow natural light to flood the basement level, making a convincing metaphoric ray of hope for the hopeless.
Don't go to this school if you're applying from the US. You're not allowed to register for courses until after the locals have finished. So you won't be able to take the classes you want because many will be full by then.
Nice building. There are better locations to study on campus. Hard to find parking.
good place to study. has a starbucks. nice large lecture hall when not in use is good for group study.
