I won't go into details but when a U.S. Marshall apologizes for the behavior of the Schenectady Police Department...... When. You are threatened not to file complaints. When they compare you to a little girl. When they make fun of your girlfriend. When they berate you and verbally abuse you. When you get arrested and driven around the city only to get "kicked loose." When you get pulled over and forced out of your car for having a suspended license only to find out your license isn't suspended while getting berated by a Sgt. The horror stories get better and I've never had a criminal charge. Thanks guys for having my back. Thanks for protecting our community. Thanks for respecting community members. Thanks for respecting someone who will help to bring Justice to violent people. Thanks for having professionalism and INTEGRITY. It is extremely irresponsible that your conduct costs the city money that could be used to help children in the city have a better chance of success. If we didn't have to pay out millions of dollars for lawsuits think of how much better condition we could keep our roads, baseball fields, and schools. You literally cost the city so much money they can't afford more police officers that would make a difference. Think of the pain you cause to children when you inflict physical damage upon a parent. Think of the distrust you breed in your own community. Then have the nerve to demand unwavering respect. I could go on pointing out all the ways to make it better. On 7/9/17 at least 15 calls to 911 for a gang assault on congress and 4th .it took spd 25 mins to get to us in the mean time 25 teenagers male and female had a 42 yr old male on the ground stomping his head spitting on him .2 officers were sent .we were giving the complaint number and no one calls back .SPD NEEDS TO STEP IT UP INSTEAD OF OVER LOOKING THINGS LIKE THIS AND THIS CITY NEEDS TO START HOLDING PARENTS RESPONOBLE FOR THEIR CHILDREN'S BEHAVIOR ON THE STREET AND WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND SUMMER OR NOT ALLOWS THEIR 12 YET OLD OUT AFTER 9PM SMH I HAVE NO TRUST IN OUR POLICE DEPARTMENT ANYMORE
