Dinner at Scarolies was beyond our expectation. We were 14 persons. Celebrating 3 birthdays - January 2023. Our seating was fantastic. The food was great! Scarolies Chocolate cake was certainly scrumptious and was a great selection for the birthday honoraries. We were certainly very satisfied with the service and management checking-in at our table to ensure that we were happy with our meals. Special shout to our waiter Ryan who helped to make the RYAN celebration extra special.
Let me just start with wow. Been passing this location for years and finally went with the kids. They start off with an entire loaf of fresh warm baguette. The portions are massive, I mean we had leftovers for 2 days after. Bring your appetite! The pasta was cooked to perfection and the ratio of sauce to noodles was bang on. Definitely a place I'll be going back to
Finally an Italian restaurant that makes a decent sauce. The rose and creamy sauces were very tasteful with no signs of it being watered down or oily. Pasta was well cooked and delicious. The calamari itself wasn't anything special, but the sauce it comes with really stands out. The bread is warm and soft, which makes me believe they bake it on the spot. Clam chowder was very good - no gritty taste or anything. And the amaretto sour was probably the best I've ever had at a restaurant. All around, the food was excellent and we didn't wait all that long. Within an hour, we were seated, placed our order, recieved the entrees and drinks, and just received our main dish. The service is top shelf. Because it was a busy night, it seemed the washroom needed additional attention. It was in disarray with paper all over the floor and toilet paper dispenser being broken. Only reason it's not a 5/5
What can I say, delicious food I've been going here for years. unlike many other restaurants the quality of food seems to have improved since the last time and it was great even then. I had muscles with marinara sauce and Salmon with shrimps and the craziest butter in a ladle thing that I poored on the shrimp . Fantastic. Great service great food my gf liked her pasta too, can't say enough good things .
Good Italian restaurant in the West Island. Very spacious place to accommodate many customers, big parking lot and very fast service. The food is ok and quite pricey for pasta! But what I like is that they give you a whole warm baguette : our waiter George looked like he wanted to finish his shift and go home..but he kept it professional and we got our food very fast. I've been coming here for many years and it's been consisant.
Scarolies has been around in the west islanf for a really long time! When i went today i know why. The atmosphere was great, felt very european. The staff was great with explaining the menu and was on point with his timing. The menu waa pretty big so took some time to decide what i wanted. I settled for a pizza, which tasted great but not quite to my prefrence of nice crispy base. It was more on the soggy side. My wife had the ravioli which was amazing. The baguette with balsamic pil is a nice touch. Overall had a great lunch and would definitely go back. Maybe not for the pizza though.
We had a really go experience. We arrived on a Saturday night, it was full but we still got amazing service. The waiter, Indigo, was absolutely great. All the food was great, really big portions, and warm Baggett. I would definitely go back.
For starters I'm amazed that this place has a 4.5 star rating. If Scarolies was downtown it would be lucky to have 3 stars. For starters the service was excellent, our waiter George was quick and experienced. As for the food, I'm lost for words, worst pizza ever. Calamari saturated with panko. Several of us had veal dishes, mine which was supposed to be a Veal Marsala tasted more like a KFC sauce. I returned it and I got back pretty much the same. My daughter ordered Veal piccata and it was just a whole lot of butter. I could go on and on. This is not an Italian restaurant. This is Casa Grecque trying there best at Italian amd making a fool of themselves.
Beat place for authentic Italian food, great location, food and service. Portions are generous and staff very friendly. A must try if your visiting or local to Montreal
It's been quite a few years since I last dined here and happy to report that the management maintained the quality in food and service. We were a big group of 27 people celebrating a milestone birthday, the place was at capacity and the service was executed with a smile and grace. I had their huge 12 oz steak yes, doggy bagged the leftovers for a full sized lunch which I enjoyed. Vegetarian options: meal sized salads Kid-friendliness: busy family friendly atmosphere, high chairs available Parking: Loads of parking Dietary restrictions: gluten free options
