This is easily the best vegan ice cream I've ever had. I could truly not tell the difference. I had the fudge which was decent, but the mint chip blew me away. It was so fresh and creamy. My friends tried toasted marshmallow and matcha and loves their flavours too. It's definitely a really cute spot. The staff are lovely. You can't go wrong here!
We had a great experience chatting with the server at the front counter and they made some stellar recommendations about ice cream sandwiches and take-home cubes. If you can only try one thing, do not miss the chocolate ice cream sandwich. The ice cream is smooth and light without being overly sweet, while the outer cookie slabs are reminiscent of chocolate chip cookie dough. I would stock a garage chest freezer full of these, they're that good. The coffee ice ice cream sandwich was tasty and equally balanced in terms of sweet and richness. The ice cream is good too - the toasted marshmallow was surprisingly gooey and the lemon was nice and bright. Unfortunately, upon opening at home, the cubes had big air pockets in them so we ended up with only 80% ice cream. All in all a great spot!
It was an adorable ice cream place. It doesn't have much of an inviting aura but I guarantee their ice cream tastes special too. You can enjoy your ice cream inside and perhaps read a special book if you don't mind their tiny space just like me. I tried their strawberry ice cream sandwich and it was so amazing!
Delicious dairy free ice cream that's made with coconut and cashew milk. The texture is really smooth and creamy. And overall, it wasn't too sweet. I don't usually get banana flavoured things because it always tastes artificial or too sweet for me. But their banana bread ice cream was tasty. It tasted just like homemade banana bread. Their waffle cones were crisp and didn't have any ice cream dripping from the bottom. I also saw them bring out a slice of ice cream cake and it looked delicious. I would definitely comeback for their ice cream. Especially since I'm lactose intolerant, it's great to have this option for dessert.
Hands down the best vegan ice cream I have ever had. Minimal ingredients and great flavors!
Best ice cream I’ve ever had. The freeze dried stuff was incredible too
THE BEST VEGAN ICE CREAM SANDWICHES. The sandwich part is so delicious I like that even better than the actual ice cream
Wonderful service and very delicious ice cream. The Oat Chip was wonderful. I was told they are going to ask to get some bike racks installed - would be a great addition to the space and a must stop on your bike.
I love ice cream. It's one of many passions of mine. While we have umaluma just a few blocks away, I think Say Hello is superior for two reasons. First, they have the hard hitting classic flavours and they always exceed expectation of texture, consistency, taste, and intensity. Mint chip is perfectly minty!! Second, their ice cream sandwiches are like... Unreal. So. You know when you bite into an ice cream sandwich and the cookie part is firm but the ice cream is too soft so it all squishes out and you're left with this contorted mess in your hand? YEAH THIS ISNT THAT. These ice cream sandwiches are the best I've ever had because the cookie and ice cream break at the perfect point. My sensitive teeth don't get stung because I don't need to chomp down and there is a perfect ratio of all the flavours in every bite. I love the raspberry lemon as much as the marshmallow. Just. Do yourself a favour and pick Say Hello. It's not a matter of IF you need ice cream, it's a matter of which flavour you're going to get.
I got my partner an icecream cake from Say Hello Sweets for his birthday and it was a hit! Got a combination of marshmallow and chocolate ice-cream with a gluten friendly crust. The decoration was lovely pieces of toffee with hard chocolate and sprinkles and the cake was so delicious. My partner didn't even realize it was vegan ice-cream! Will definitely order again. Great e-mail communication throughout too!
