Sawney Bean's
"Sawney Beans was established in 2007 by Dave and Jackie Bakx. It had made a name for itself as a local British pub that specialized in British beers and food. In 2014 the couple sold the restaurant to the Oommen brothers, Mark and James. Although the brothers did not want to completely change the characteristics of what Sawney Beans had become, they also had a desire to add their own unique flair to the food and atmosphere, as well as feature local products and ingredients as much as possible. The brothers have over, 30 years of combined experience in the hospitality industry. We hope that you enjoy the food, the drinks and the comfort of our little home away from home!"

Walked in and had our QR and ID ready like every other restaurant. She didn’t even look at them until after we were seated and I asked her. No scanner because she said she didn’t have one I ordered the quesadilla with tangy sauce and my husband clubhouse with fries. The tangy sauce is just BBQ sauce and tons of it. The salsa was hot! The bread on the clubhouse was dry as the Sahara and hard to swallow. The service was prompt and friendly but I won’t be back. This is probably my 6th time there and it’s just not that good.
When I used to live in the area I would frequently visit this restaurant. For a peach Bellini and a sweet chilli chicken stir fry, served over linguine noodles. I went last week for the first time in almost a decade. The food was just as good as I remember and of course I ordered the sweet chili chicken stir fry! Never disappoints.
Tried going here for dinner on a Friday night.. I get it they were busy BUT the fact that we waited there for 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge us was ridiculous. The servers and the bartender just literally ignored and walked by us like we weren’t waiting . I get it you’re busy but at least acknowledge the people waiting… that’s pretty much BASIC customer service. I felt like just because we were people of colour, we were treated like this. They had no problem talking and interacting with other people but just not us.
Got the large Irish nacho appetizer with beef. Way to small for the price. Felt like they served me the small one for the price of large, but how do you prove that? Atmosphere was ok, service felt like they she don't care much.
Friends form the area recommend this pub. The atmosphere, the food, and service were excellent! I had the special curry chicken roti, amazing. If it's not a regular menu item, then it should be. I would make the trip from Winnipeg anytime to eat here. Highly recommended.
Excellent food, good atmosphere and great servers! Cost is up there but that's kind of expected. Drink menu no longer includes a few drinks that I would order which is kind of a bummer but overall an awesome place. The deep fried mars bar is a must for desert!
Love the wings. Not fair on the pop being $5 and forced to buy two of those to get deals on wings or alcohol. Portions aren't very fair for other items on the menu. Ex, the fries. I was disappointed about that. All in all, love the restaurant food.
Fantastic beer options and there food is magnificent. One of my favourite places to eat
Food was astonishing. And the service is best in town. Thankx ladys
First time at Sawney Bean’s. Service was friendly/average. We ordered croquettes, steak sandwich and creole penne pasta and all three were delicious. Waited a reasonable amount of time for food. Lime margarita was tasty as well; not excessively sweet like some.
