First time here and I really the hospitality, ambience and the courtesy of the staffs. The food was so great and tastes very great. I had the Cajun Style CAB New York Striploin and the chocolate dome for dessert. I so much love the mushrooms and the bread as well. So lovely.... I will highly recommend this place....
The honey garlic chicken wings were tasty, bit tiny. Worst. Ribs. Ever. Chewy, tough and the sauce was like a burnt candy coating. Idk what those side veggies were, nasty. The canned beans were just that. The little Caesar salad was great though! Lol. The waitress was fantastic, I didn't even complain to her about the food, didn't want to be a drag.
We celebrated my birthday last night at The Sawmill Fort Saskatchewan; my mother-in-law, my husband and myself. Donald looked after us like family. He was funny, gracious and very kind to my m-i-l and suggested a steak sandwich when she couldn’t decide what she would like to order from the menu. My birthday dessert, which he brought without our prompting!, was fabulous. Great food. Great atmosphere. Exemplary service. Thank you Donald!!
We waited almost an hour for our food after ordering the 3 orders of BBQ ribs. For $36 each, we recieved 3 small racks of ribs with alot of the meat missing. They substituted a wimpy overcooked broccoli and 2 greasy cooked pieces of pepper for the corn succotas and didn't include the smoked baked beans. We all felt ripped off. The bill came to almost $200!! Not going back.
Absolutely delicious, we really enjoyed ourselves. Service was excellent
1st time going, heard lots, and was not disappointed, Got to our table very quickly and the server Donald was getting us drink and making us feel like home within seconds. Hands down coming back for more and the environment was very classic and modern. Great food, great people, great manager, 5 stars!!!
Had a wonderful and delicious meal. We had Donald serve us and he was very professional and fun. He added his lively personality to his knowledgeable service which provided for an overall wonderful dinner.
We love going to the Sawmill! Tonight my family went out to celebrate and our server Donald went above and beyond to make sure we had a great evening. He had us laughing all night! He was quick to bring us refills, suggested great menu items and checked in often! I hope to have him as our server again next time we go!
Wasn’t sure what to expect as the restaurant looked closed and abandoned with all the over growth and weeds around the weathered building. The dining experience dispelled any doubts. The staff were eager, courteous and pleasant. The choices of meals were diverse and extensive. Our dinner was spectacular on all levels. The prime rib, garlic mashed and horseradish perfect. Yorkshire pudding a pleasant surprise which rarely comes with prime rib any more. My wife’s Fettucini was superbe as was Jaimee at the bar and Rebecca our server. Keep up the great work despite the surroundings.
This was my first time back to the Sawmill after many years. The food was delicious but the best part of the entire meal was our server, Donald. He is the best and so friendly and personable. 10 out of 10, hands down the GOAT. Definitely will be back to see him.
