Tried the breakfast at this spot. The deck view is beyond words and a wonderful experience. The food was pretty good but nothing spectacular. The lobster Benedict could have been fresher. Their coffee was also really nice. Nice little brunch spot when you're in town.
While waiting for move in day for my daughter’s apartment we decided on a quick day trip to Lunenburg to visit this quaint town but we needed some lunch. So we decided on The Savvy Sailor. We enjoyed our patio meal and seeing the view. The girl had a Fish Burger and the Dad had the Thai wrap w/ side Caesar salad. Also paired with a local shipwright brewing Golden Ale. Fish Burger was made of haddock and cooked perfectly. Coleslaw was tasty. The Thai wrap was a nice mix of vegetables and chicken. Definitely full of flavour. A tad drippy of the wrap but still tasty. Worth a try if you’re there.
Absolutely wonderful customer service and truly DELICIOUS food!!! I had the card fish cake and my friend had the smoked salmon. Both were 10 out of 10. And to finish off, we had the famous from and raisin cake which was to die for! So thanks to other reviewers who recommended it! The view of the waters is beautiful from here. Looking forward to coming back again!
We waited around 40 minutes to have a table for lunch. However the wait was worth it. The chowder was full of haddock and really tasteful. The haddock burger was generous and the fish was well cooked. I liked the fact it was only panned and not fried. Price are reasonable
You're always taking a chance when eating at a restaurant in a touristic location. The colorful establishment attracts clients for sure, not the food. Price is reasonable. Food was ok acceptable as expected. I liked the cabbage salad. Chowder was not good at all, hospital cafes serve better than this restaurant and I dont like hospital food.
Great place! Beautiful view, good food and super friendly service! It’s one of not many places open for breakfast, could be some waiting time, but it worth it!
Really busy, only place open service was great had the lobster eggs Benedict. Lobster was dry, if I didn’t know better, I’d guess canned or frozen definitely not fresh. 26$ a bit pricey for what you get.
Very good restaurant, we had our breakfast here. Everything is good! The building has just been painted into yellow, very charming color.
I rated this place based on flavor, presentation, service, price, and time. I ordered a Lobster Roll and my girlfriend ordered the Lunenburg Breakfast. Even though the place was busy, the overall services was nice. The waitress brought our water quite quick and was super nice. The food presentation was well organized and pretty. The time it took to bring us the food was quite quick, less than 15 minutes. The most important aspect - FLAVOR! The Lobster roll coleslaw includedwas bland, use of ingredients were quite simple, the bun was nice though. The overall execution of the dish was below mediocre at best. As for the Lunenburg Breakfast - this includes two decent size fish cakes and baked beans. This dish was quite tasty but the baked beans were a little too sweet for my taste. The fish cake missed a little seasoning. But overall, not bad. My final recommendation would be a NO for this place, but I could be wrong since I only tried two dishes. This place was so so and quite pricey. I am sure there are better places. And if you still decided to go , please avoid sitting outside during sunny days as there are tables that don’t have sun-shade.
I had the pan fried haddock burger and the cup of chowder which was huge. Both were delicious and portions were great! The fish burger came with the most delicious coleslaw. Yumm.
